  1. I have a 5AM flight out of Guadalajara on Friday March 16. Can anyone recommend a very dependable and reliable and trustworthy professional driver with plenty of experience and recommendations? Thanks.
  2. November will be my first visit to the Lake Chapala area. Looking for a small living space for November, and hopefully December. Quiet, non-smoker, no pets, would like a space with private bathroom, bed, table and chairs, small cooking space, where I can also sit outside. If this is not the correct place to advertise for this please advise where I can. Thanks, and looking forward to spending time in your area. K
  3. I'm new to this forum so if I am not posting in the right spot, I apologize. My husband and I are moving to Chapala in October 2016. We had an offer of a ride from a woman but she cannot confirm her availability until August so just in case that doesn't work out, I am looking at alternatives. It will be my husband and I and 2 small dogs along with about 6 small footlockers with our stuff in them. I'm pretty sure it would all fit in an SUV type vehicle. Has anyone ever done this before and if so, what were your experiences and do you know of anyone who does this. I really, really appreciate your help. Flying is not an option as our dogs are elderly and we do not want to stress them out. We can meet anywhere in Texas to meet up.
  4. I'm trying to find wheelchair accessible van transport from Guadalajara airport to Chapala. We are hoping to relocate but we need to get down to be sure and to find a permanent home. Unfortunately, the few references online to a wheelchair van taxi from Guadalajara to Lake Chapala appear to be obsolete. My husband is a quadriplegic in an electric wheelchair (HEAVY) and really needs a van with a ramp or a lift. I've asked the real estate agent and B&B we are working with but no one seems to have any recommendations. Does anyone have any clues if such as service exists? Best, Shelly
  5. Our professional transport from Nuevo Laredo to Ajijic has been secured. He will not cross over into Texas, to pick up us and our dogs. That person is staying at hotel la embajada, overnight. I am not sure about the safety of that area, or if that is an advisable hotel for americans to check into. We will most likely meet him at that hotel, and arrive via taxi. We will probably need a taxi that is a van. It is probably wise to have that van stay put with us, until our connection comes to meet us? Prior to meeting that contact in Nuevo Laredo: We will drive our rental car (which is not allowed to cross over into Mexico) to Laredo TX. We must find a reliable transport from Laredo TX to Nuevo Laredo Mexico. We may have to stay overnight in either Laredo TX or Nuevo Laredo Mexico. 1st: Which overnight location is recommended, and what hotels would be safe? 2nd: Which Laredo TX transport/taxi companys do people on this board recommend? Thank you for your time!
