  1. Operation Feed supports over 550 villagers in San Juan Cosala. We work to raise the funds without impacting other Lakeside charities. So, during the "low season" we have our two big events. April 26th beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Viva Mexico is our first of the year. Come on over and feast on an Agustin buffet. Meet some of the micro-business members. Shop through the 30 items basket auction. Your 450 pesos will buy you an amazing many course buffet dinner with vegan and vegetarian items and delicious desserts. Plus you will have provided a family with a despensa (food bag) for 3 weeks. Tickets are available at Diane Pearl's and Mia's. Or just email me and I'll arrange personal delivery. If you can't come, think about buying tickets for some who has been really helpful to you or paying for tickets that can be given to some of our outstanding Mexican assistants.

    Our group had dinner there last night, we got the last table , the place was packed. The fried salmon was superb served with asparagus and great rice, the service was impeccable considering the crowd...a keeper..

  8. Hello friends, this wednesday we have the opportunity to present an amazing musician, Mr John Hughes, will be performing his music before going home in the US. John Hughes is an internationally recognized sculptor, instrumentalist, singer, dancer, instrument builder and educator. He holds an M.F.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.F.A. from the Tyler School of Art of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and the West Surrey College of Art and Design in Farnham, England. John has studied the music song and dance of West Africa for over 24 years, training with numerous master drummers and dancers from Guinea and Mali, including Mamady Keita, Famoudou Konate, Sekou Sylla, and Youssouf Koumbassa. John has taught sculpture, drawing and design in countless universities, colleges and high schools including The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and Skidmore College. He has been teaching drumming classes, private lessons, and workshops across the United States and Canada for the past 20 years, working at places like Omega Institute, Kripalu Yoga Center, Dance New England and a host of schools and universities. He maintains weekly classes at The Putney School, Landmark College, and in his studio in Brattleboro, Vermont, where he also builds sculpture and musical instruments. This is a strategic decision in our continuous effort to improve and tailor our customer satisfaction. Thor's Restaurant at Riberas Location will be closed as of Monday this coming week.
