  1. The Ranch no-kill dog shelter needs your support. We are putting on a great sunset boat cruise on Lake Chapala. We hope to also see the full moon rise. Polanco + Steadman will be entertaining us again and Pale' Restaurant will be serving savory roast pork sandwiches. There will also be a few sides and a brownie included. You can get tickets at Diane Pearl or The Scandinavian Bakery in the Laguna Mall.
  2. Put on your cowboy boots and hat and join us for a really fun event coming November 17. You are guaranteed to have a good time and hear some great country music with Ajijic's newest country band "Charlie & The Whippersnappers" plus Abby Rivera too. Emmanuel Campoy, from Emmanuel's Kitchen, is going to be doing our Pig Roast and BBQ Chicken for us. Of course, we will have other great food to accompany it. Whether you live east, west or downtown Ajijic, you will find it easy to purchase tickets: Downtown is at Lilifher Deli which is less than one block south of the plaza on Colon on the right side; buy a luscious cinnamon roll while you're there. Chocolac Ajijic has to-die-for chocolates and is out west right next to Jitomate Restaurant. Our eastern location is the Scandinavian Bakery with the best bread in town located in the Laguna Mall. Yee Haw! Let's have some fun.
  3. The School for Special Children is hoping to reach all who have supported the children this year. Dear Volunteers, Donors, and Supporters, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all your hard work and support over this past year. We have had our biggest year in fundraising in 2017 and we’ve been able to buy things for the school such as IPads for the faculty, which has been so useful with all the wonderful apps that are used for teaching. We are also in the process of buying a new jungle gym for the backyard at the school which will give the children hours of fun climbing and sliding. Whether you attend or are more directly involved in our house tours, the fashion show, the Chili Cook Off or helping at Casi Nuevo, we are truly grateful for the time and support you have given us over this past year. So again, thank you and I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a happy and healthy New Year. All the best Jan Riley President

  7. Rotary Club of Ajijic will be holding it's 3rd annual Art Auction this Saturday Feb. 11th at the HOTEL TAPATIO in Tlaquepaque. We are asking the local artist community for donations of their various works of art for our auction. The proceeds from this event will support our local projects such as OPERATION SMILE & LOVE IN ACTION etc. In exchange you'd be a VIP guest at our event. It's a great way to get your work shown and gain local notoriety. I would also extend a free office visit whenever needed for the next year at CHAPALA MED.
