  1. Hello! I'm exploring the possibility of being in the Ajijic area for the next month. I'm currently in an Airbnb, but I'd like to find a place of my own to rent. I'm flexible on dates, but my hard leaving date would be mid-May. I don't need anything luxurious, just a small apartment for one in an area that is close in (I don't have any transportation and prefer to walk everywhere). I'd very much like to have a little kitchen, as I haven't had one for most of my time traveling and I really miss cooking (cheap therapy for me!). I'm clean, respectful, financially secure, and friendly. I speak both Spanish and English and work for myself online. I don't have any pets but I love them. I'm also open to a house/pet sit situation if anyone is seeking someone for that. I can provide a reference from the last gig that I was offered randomly in SMA if needed and I am happy to meet up. I'd prefer to pay 10,000 mex$ or less. Thanks for reading, and please reach out if you have any questions for me.
  2. Moving soon to teach Chinese exercise of Tai Chi etc. Interested in renting long-term a simple studio apt. (or even an unfurnished large room with BR) in a Mexican neighborhood. Rent...I know nothing of local costs. Here at seaside Sisal I pay $3000/month for a Studio. Location...I am flexible. . I speak functional Spanish and will have a motorcycle.Tnx in advance
  3. I am an expat service consultant seeking a nice house or apartment in Riberas, Mirasol, Vista Lago, Chapala Haciendas and Chula Vista or similar for a client. She is a retired woman who has a well behaved dog and wants to sign a 6-12 month lease starting in April. She is seeking a 2 bedroom 1 bath place with some Mexican charm and an area for her medium sized dog that is fenced. It does not need to be a large area but needs some outside area for her dog. Her price range is around $900 a month which should include utilities. Wifi is also important. Something close to the bus route would be great as well. It should be furnished with decent appliances. If you have something that will coming available please email me at mexicoinsiderguide@gmail.com.
  4. Looking for small casita, efficiency or apartment on lower Ajijic or la Floresta suitable for one person for month of December. Up to $700. email with particulars and phone number. Thanks email: lizlarrabee@gmail.com
  5. We are a young 60's retired professional couple and we are looking for a short term rental for 2 - 4 weeks in the very near future. Dates are flexible as our schedule is our own. We would only require a one bedroom, one bathroom casita or apartment preferably in, or close to Ajijic. Of course we would consider something larger but there will only be two of us staying there. The rental must be neat and clean and in good repair. Please contact us here via a PM if you either have, or know of a suitable unit for rent.
  6. Hoping someone reading this will PM me with information I need. I'm a retired teacher, single, who has just moved here, and I am looking for a rental in lower Ajijic. I'd like a 2 bedroom house or apartment on one level, downstairs. $800, a little negotiable. Please let me know if you know of one. Thanks!
  7. We moved to Guadalajara a month and a half ago because I got a teaching position at the American School. We live in Col. Providencia. Guadalajara is a great city, but we are village folk and Ajijic has always been a favorite place for us. We want to rent an apartment that we can stay in on the weekends and over extended holidays. The school doesn't pay enough for us to be extravagant but we could afford something furnished , one bed, one bath. We desire a place in the village and can pay 500 or 600 a month and would like access to a small yard/garden, and wifi. we don't need a phone because we have cellulars. Don't care about TV either. We want to join the Chapala Society and see if Ajijic is the place for us in retirement. I'm only going to work this and perhaps next year. My wife is a newly retired elementary teacher and is interested in helping with the youth art classes at Chapala Society on Saturdays. She may stay over sometimes when I return on Sunday for my work week. We have a very gentle little beagle dog that doesn't make messes or noise, he is neutered and we ALWAYS walk him on a leash . This is probably enough about us If you have a rental to offer (In Ajijic or Floresta) please contact us Stan and April (33) 36414182 cell 331 795 0737 after 3 pm if Monday-Friday anytime Saturday or Sunday folktraveler@gmail.com
