CAT LOVERS ALERT You are needed to give companionship to the cats at the Lakeside Friends of Animals Cat Shelter in Riberas. There are about 50 wonderful cats of all colors and personalities who need human interaction. You can just go in any of the 11 suites and sit with them, invite them on your lap, give them love, treats, or play time. They would all love a Forever Home, and the more interaction they have with people who love them, the more adoptable they will be. The cats are more active between 10 and 12, and tend to take naps in the afternoon. Please treat yourself and the cats to s

We appreciate the helpful and heartfelt responses to our post about finding an adult cat, and we are grateful to Anita at Anita's Cat Sanctuary, and Sue at Friends of Animals/Riberas Pet Store for offering numerous beautiful cats shelter, food, care and safety. Just before Thanksgiving, we found Mango patiently waiting to be noticed in the cat shelter at Friends of Animals/Riberas Pet Store. She now roams our home, noticing every nook and cranny, alerting to all the new sounds, finding new hiding places, and quietly watching her strange new humans as we go about our daily activities. Sh

Adorable, fluffy kittens available. Semi-long haired (the textured hair that looks long but never tangles). Vaccines current. These kittens are being raised with adult cats, a 2-kilo Chihuahua, and a 50-kilo Belga Pastoral. So ... they are very dog tolerant! They eat Costco cat kibble. Born on St. Valentines Day. All have fluffy gray tails but gray spots vary from 1-5. Call Dianne 333-159-7734 (do not leave msg) for an appointment to choose your baby. First come, first served. Chapala-Soriana vicinity.

Question for bird and cat lovers: I really want to bring my cat here to Ajijic. Problem is she loves to catch birds and my beautiful garden is full of them. So far I've not found a new home for her back in the states and the house closes the end of June. Waaaahhh! Any suggestions from anyone? She has lived as an outside/inside cat and we have our doors open all the time, so keeping her inside isn't an option. Has anyone every tried the birdbesafe collar? Thanks.

We've been fostering a wonderful little kitten who was found in Chapala. He had stitches in his shoulder and part of his tail bobbed. He's about 4 months old. Sweet disposition, plays easily, purrs loudly and is a perfect little boy. But he looks like a tasty little snack for our 65 pound dog! We tried to give him to the shelter but she wouldn't take him. We need to find a new home for him soon. Please call 765-7061.

We have 5 cats and it is too much for us. We would like to find another home for two of them. They are sisters, a little less than 2 years old, orange tabby cats. They have both been spayed and are current on their shots. They are very affectionate with each other and with people. They have never been around dogs. They are indoor/outdoor cats, they use a cat box or go outside. They are used to dry cat food. If you or anyone you know might be interested in them, please contact us.
