  1. Everyone loves Manny! All the volunteers, staff and visitors to The Ranch. He’s a perfect size at about 30 pounds and happy and cheerful. He gets along well with other dogs. He sure loves to have someone stop by his run. It gets even better if that someone happens to have a leash and he knows he’s going to go out for an adventure. He’s two-years old, so still playful but over the worst of the puppy years. So why is Manny still at The Ranch? He arrived in February and we thought this beautiful guy would quickly find a home. But that hasn’t happen. The only reason we can think of is that he's just a plain brown dog. He’s not ugly of course, but there is nothing unique about his looks. But really, doesn’t that describe most of us? We think it's time Manny is in a home of his own where he'll receive tons of love and can prove that he is special. To see Manny or any of our other Ranch dogs CONTACT US
  2. Scarlet, what a great, sweet Husky Mix she is. This playful girl is about a year old and full of fun loving energy. She likes to hang with people and walk on her leash. She is smart and likes the ball. She would make a terrific companion for a family or an active person. CONTACT US
  3. Our Ranch dog of the Month is Espinaca. This lovely girl showed up in our play yard one day last November with five young puppies. Even though this had to be a scary experience for them, mom and all the puppies were happy and playful from day one. Espinaca was the best mom to her babies and they all grew up healthy and beautiful. All of her babies have now been adopted; just Espinaca remains. She looks like a lab except for her short legs. She’s definitely got a lab personality: sweet, calm and trusting. We think Espinaca is only about two- to three-years old and she’s ready for a life that’s more than just caring for babies. If you’d like to meet our Espinaca, come to The Ranch and we’ll be happy to introduce you. CONTACT US
  4. This picture says it all. Phoenix is a classic Meximutt and all things good. He is gentle in nature; a happy guy who gets along with other dogs and loves to be around his human friends. Volunteers love walking him and everyone wants to be around this guy. Around 3 to 4-years old, this 45-pound boy would love to hang with his people. He is very adaptable and would do active things or just hang when you want to hang. CONTACT US

  11. Our first Ranch Dog of the Week was adopted before I could post her information!!! YEAH! So here is another puppy of the week. And if you're careful, she won't chew them, either! CALCETÍN is a feisty, friendly little girl – about 4 months old. She's a purebred MSD (Mexican Street Dog) mostly black variety. We expect she'll be medium in size when she grows up. Calcetín in Spanish means "sock", her sweet feet tell the story. She'd love to share that story with you, when she becomes your pup! CONTACT US
  12. A medium-sized "Hybrid Hound", Lili came to us after being abandoned by the lake, accompanied by 8 young pups. Her son, Burt, has been adopted, but you STILL HAVE SEVEN lovely "LiliPups" to choose from. Shown are Rayder and Leslie, plus there are 5 other super-cute siblings! Then there's Lili her own self, a real sweetie. Lili is 2 years old, her pups, 4 months. It's hard to choose, but nothing to lose... there's lots of love just waiting for you! CONTACT US
  13. Roses are red, and Violets are Blue, Morena Rose wants to be adopted… by YOU? She's a happy, energetic "bouquet" of a dog. She is medium in size, about a year old, and 100% MSD, "Mexican Street Dog", blond variety. She would love daily exercise and long walking adventures. Found abandoned up on the mountain, Morena Rose could blossom as your companion! CONTACT US
  14. "Ernie" is like the adjective "Earnest" – showing sincerity, diligence, and is hearty, ardent to obtain or do. Our 1-year-old boy is sincerely, diligently, and heartily ardent to obtain a permanent home, and do whatever it takes! Ernie has a sweet, affectionate nature, and is medium in size. Breed mix? "Mexican Hound-ish" CONTACT US
