Need to exterminate an underground ant termite colony.
Floradude replied to ea93105's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
I used Veloche (it is blue granular) and it killed the colony. BUT, REMEMBER. Leaf cutter ants will always return. You cannot win that war. I have lived in my house for 18 years. I know from personal experience. I get a lot of satisfaction with a spray after dark. I kill them by the hundreds as the march in a column from next to plant. -
Looking for advice on what tree to plant

My neighbor had two Cypress in his backyard. Now he has one. The other blew down in a recent storm. -
For one thing the storms in the eastern Pacific have not been coming our way. They form down south and then head more west out into the Pacific instead of coming up off our coast close enough that we are in their rain shadow.

Get a Notario (super attorney) have him draft your will. Then ask him your questions. Perhaps he could be your trusted person.

I went for my appointment to Ocotlan yesterday. The scenery is beautiful, mostly pastoral. I left at 8:30 for my 10 AM appointment. Arrived at 9:30. Finished at 9:55, and back home at 11:20

There is a man who sweeps the section of the ciclopista from the Oxxo to Revolucion. I assume he is paid by someone. -

Zeta Gas seems to be in a turmoil. Last month when I needed gas I went to the office. I have lived above them 2 blocks for 18 years so it is easy to go into the office and order gas. Last time the lady at the desk told me that I now had to call 333 668 3800 for a delivery. She told me she was only in the office for payments. I will see what happens in a couple of months when I need another delivery. Never a dull moment in Mexico.

Are you calling 333 668 3800...the number to order a gas delivery?

Thank you. -
It took 5 minutes for me to get my Constancia/RFC document yesterday at a papeleria. It was accepted by CFE, but they also wanted my Permanent Resident card.

Is appointment made on-line, or in the office? -
Also, Steren in San Antonio across from Walmart, on the carretera. Sorry, I could not pull the name out of brain in time to put it with the email above.

I take them to Ajijic City Hall--across from the plaza.

You can ONLY SELECT YOUR DATE IN SPANISH. For everything else you can use the English translation. I have been through this twice for Ocotlan.

Two more 2 second outages this AM
-
The outages are 1 to 2 seconds and maybe repeated frequently, or not. Several days ago I counted 11 times in a two hour period. I too have Chrome and the ability to restore whatever I was working on, but it still takes several minutes for a 2 second outage. I then ask myself, should I go reset the time on my microwave clock, or is it going to go off again (and again, and again). Should I restart the computer only to have the power go off again. The TV if on will automatically come back on. I have been here 19 years and I am used to outages of various times from minutes to many hours. I do not recall a pattern like this before. This morning I think it was only 3 or 4 times. It is so quick that I might not know it had even happened except my microwave makes a noise every time it shuts off for the electric outage, or of course if I am on the computer I definitely know. The two neighbors I would normally check with are both away in Canada for a vacation.

What is up with the electricity? Already this morning, and for the past two or three days it is off-and-on, off-and-on. It is like someone is just turning the electricity off and on with a switch. I am in upper Ajijic. It messes with the computer which takes longer to get back where you were when it went off, then the computer was off.

Tropical Storm Celia is close enough to our coast to give us some? Hence the clouds.
