  1. I’ll be glad to help. I got mine in April at CVS in Texas. This is the CVS site that I WAS familiar with. https://www.cvs.com/immunizations/covid-19-vaccine?icid=cvs-home-hero1-link1-covid-vaccine It says, “Walk in or schedule your FREE COVID-19 vaccine today.” “No cost with insurance or through a federal program for the uninsured.” Feel free to ask any question. I’ll answer what I know.
  2. I can see that you’ve already done what a normal resident could do. You asked for answers, and you got unsolicited opinions. This webboard is not the only neighborhood social networking site here. Try this one - “Friendly Gringos Ajijic & Chapala” on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/212463755765570/about
  3. Good to know and I’m happy for you! : )
  4. Another happy mesh user. : ) I asked neighbors in my social networking neighborhood. Everyone was happy about it. No one complained. It’s no-brainer choice for me.
  5. I tried, and I won’t suggest “extender”. “Wireless throughput is reduced by at least 50%.”, said Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_repeater#Drawbacks I bought one and found out the hard way. Now I’m using one of what AngusMactavish said, the Mesh. Same brand, different model. And I love it. It “extends” the range w/o reducing the throughput. I bought the cheapest low-end one, with 2-pack only.
  6. My wife and I got vaccinated at two different CVS in Texas. The only real proof is the little card with handwritten info on it, as many said. When I got shot at CVS, it asked my email, but didn’t ask my wife’s when she got hers. I got an email vaccination record, but not my wife. And I don’t see my record on CVS website, at this moment. As I see it, they just want to get people vaccinated as soon as possible. They didn’t have time to think through the whole thing. “Keeping the record” is a low priority. It’s a mess, even in the USA. Serious as Covid, countries will need real proof of no virus before a traveller can enter. Either a piece of paper or a printed record has no credibility, at this moment.

  8. GDouglas, the Most Valuable New Neighbor! : )
  9. https://www.accesslakechapala.com/car-rental/ Not a recommendation, since I’ve not used it before. Just information I know, for your consideration.
  10. It’s all right. I understand the curiosity. : ) They publicly declare and display their intention. They are actively preparing for it with military exercises frequently around that island. It’s a big gamble. Every player needs to calculate what they'd be willing to put in, and calculate what other players would do. What do I believe? That’s beyond my calculation. : )
  11. What Mainecoons said is fact, not being political. To be fair, the news was about Mexico, Taiwan was just also in there. I was surprised that Taiwan is #1. Well, check the source! Do you believe it?! : ) Leave out the invasion, I still would choose Lakeside over it. I was from Taiwan originally.
  12. I asked a question that I couldn’t find the answer. And you blamed me for blaming. Work what?! You have a crooked mind. Yes, this is blaming.
  13. Only dumb guys make assumption. Only. : )
  14. We agree that the employees will be the executors of the policy. Let’s face what the policy really is. I’d like to know the facts of it, if it’s verifiable. If this is not it, do you know the correct one with a link to it?
  15. Thanks to jrod. This is the link: https://corporate.walmart.com/policies/politica-de-devoluciones Translated by Google: “Returns Without Receipt To return or exchange items without a receipt, the customer must present a valid photo ID issued by a government office. Customer identification information is stored in a secure database that Walmart uses to authorize returns.” Different entity. Similar: accepting no-receipt return policy. Human issue is another story. : )
  16. I understand that. : ) As of my posting, there’s no one pointing to Walmart Mexico's official website about its no-receipt return policy, just reasonable guessing. Many agreed with dichosalocura (including me : ). Until I found out that no-receipt return IS possible. There may be some similarity among different Walmarts. So I pointed it out with proof and stated, “(Not sure the one in Ajijic is the same or not)”. : )
  17. I’d be glad to see the link to Walmart Mexico of its return policy on this case, that I couldn’t find it. Thanks.
  18. We’ll be surprised by thinking with our common sense. The answer is, MAYBE. It depends. Here’s the exact details. (Not sure the one in Ajijic is the same or not) https://www.walmart.com/help/article/refunds/b7208ee087f84b6e8c78ced8cdc685ac For your case, this might apply: “Store Returns without a Receipt... The merchandise may be returned and a cash refund provided if the refund value of the returned item is less than $25” And show them this webpage.
  19. I may be a newbie in Lakeside. But not a newbie on neighborhood social networking. It’s a VERY normal community social conversation. These are normal somewhere else too: * Lost chicken, pig, etc. * Porch pirates * Someone taking photos of my house * Someone parking in front of my mailbox * Someone knocking at my door * Heard gunshots?!
  20. Interesting information. Thanks, Kiko. I think I checked all the realtors’ websites in Lakeside. No one mentioned it. I wonder if anyone else could share more on this.
  21. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire-pressure_monitoring_system “A TPMS reports real-time tire-pressure information to the driver of the vehicle…” It’s a safety feature. It gives INSTANT alerts that “frequent checking” can not accomplish, when something happens during driving. On the other hand, its purpose is NOT replacing “frequent checking” of tires.
  22. The vaccination availability is getting more and better. Now CVS even let us choose which kind. As of this morning, at LAREDO, TX 78046. Monday: May 03, 2021 Vaccine: Janssen/J&J (one-dose) Tip: Make selection AFTER midnight. I think around that time, they update their daily new availability.
  23. The short answer is no, you don’t have to be an US citizen. https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/health/coronavirus/vaccine/do-you-have-to-be-us-citizen-to-get-covid-19-vaccine-what-immigrants-need-to-know-coronavirus-green-card-immigration/287-416b0959-3b7d-4545-90d0-2fd34a41521a “Medical experts, the Center for Disease Control and the state of Texas say that all adults, regardless of citizenship status, can get the COVID-19 vaccine.” Bonus: It’s FREE. https://www.cvs.com/immunizations/covid-19-vaccine “No cost with insurance or through a federal program for the uninsured.”
  24. They even put street lights on the path. Have a night cruise/walk!
