Yeah, plans always look good.  But Mexico has an ingrained manana mentality and delays are the norm.

On flu vaccine, here is latest I've read (from this past Friday), https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/concern-over-lack-of-influenza-vaccine/?fbclid=IwAR2q4xedWyoy2KyzZGgMtRLiY_0wj8roOs3HI2xI3eaR--wFcjCZaMZRkCM

The start of winter is less than three weeks away but many doctors in the private health sector are unable to get their hands on influenza vaccine, a situation that increases the risk that the flu will spread widely in the coming months while the coronavirus continues to run rampant across much of the country.

The quadrivalent vaccine, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses including two influenza A and two influenza B, is not yet available in most private hospitals, clinics and doctors’ offices, according to a report by the newspaper Milenio.

The public health sector began inoculating people against influenza in early October and will end its vaccination campaign on December 31.

But concern is growing in the private sector because vaccines have still not been distributed whereas at this time in the past they had.

One company that distributes the vaccine to the private sector after buying it from Sanofi Pasteur – Bio Tec Vacunas – said on November 18 that it won’t have availability until January.

He advised people to go to a public hospital to get a flu shot, “even if it’s the trivalent,” in order to be at least partially protected against the influenza threat.

We got our flu shot at the Centro de Salud in Chapala.  It was the 3-type and not the 4 and it was free.  In my opinion, the 3-type is better than nothing.

Yes. More than one person may be collecting for a cause. They use different ways of reaching out to different audiences. Are you saying only one person can be collecting donations for these young people? Are you saying all the money has been collected already and no more is needed? Are you saying Harry is doing something wrong? Please clarify what you mean here.

No I am not saying only one person can collect.  I just wanted to let people know there is another method of donating to this cause, just in case people need another alternative to donate rather than via paypal.  Should have mentioned that in my post.

The pandemic has caused so many unanticipated horrors!

You may or may not be aware of our Technical College on the Libramento. It prepares and certifys youths for high paying secure technical employment and houses over 1200 students a year. However, this year, while it is normal for students to work while attending school and thus being able to pay their tuition, this year there are so few jobs that 364 students  will have to drop out due to the inability to pay the $125 dollar/ semester tuition. If you can sponsor a student, I can supply you with a name / foto/ and major of the sponsored student. If we can do this for pets, why not students?

PM me and I will supply a paypal account for dollar donations to a friend.

I am quite sure Hector Espana of Manix Restaurant is already collecting for this particular cause and has already raised quite a bit of money.  He is doing it via Facebook.  I am saying this just so people are aware.

I have used the terminal for departures and arrivals for many years and it is in ETOBICOKE not MISSISSAUGA. and like I said the runways and assorted buildings other than for PASSENGERS is the largest part of that airport. I even rode there on my bike as early as  12 years old because it was close enough to my house in ETOBICOKE to do so. Almost everyone I  know realizes that the TERMINAL is where it's at not withstanding what address Pearson airport is  given and originally named Malton and then Toronto airport before it's present name. By the way the modern municipality of  Mississauga was a hodge/ podge, mostly of a bunch of small villages like Malton But the passenger terminal has always been at the western edge of Etobicoke.

I stand corrected.  Thanks for clarifying.

Thank you for sharing that. They've been quite helpful with a number of different drugs and  even some vitamins. Do you recall the cost of the quantity and dosage that you buy there?

I take 25 mg and it comes in 20 to a container for 33 pesos at Farmacia Similares on Monday 25% off days.

Hydrochlorothiazide as a separate entity was cancelled here approx. 18 years ago.  No idea if it's been made available since.

Check Farmacia Ahorro in Chapala (main drag, NE corner of Flavio Romero) or Farmacia Campana in Ajjjic (  NW corner carretera and Juarez, one block west of Colon).  Between those two I get all our meds at great prices, and trust their products implicitly. Check prices because each one has better prices for some things than the other.

I buy Hidroclorotiazida regularly from Farmacia Similares, and have been doing so for a couple of years now.  I take it along with my BP medicine Amlodipino to prevent my feet from swelling.  It is a diuretic.

FYI, when I decided to try Sol y Luna I kept my Handymail box simultaneously for 2 months.  Deliveries more or less the same while I tested them against each other.

No beef with Handymail, it is more a matter of not having to drive from Ajijic to SAT.  I can walk to S&L from my home.

Where is Sol y Luna located?

I ordered an air cooler early in the new year.  When I started to have problems with it and let them know by email, never had a response from them.  Emailed again and the same thing.  So I would not buy any large or expensive items from them in the future that might require a return, so I would be leary about ordering an iphone.  I would go to BestBuy in GDL and get their 2-year additional guarantee.  Have done this in the past and never had a problem with anything that went wrong with a particular item bought there.  They always gave good service and replaced with a new item if they could not fix.

I bought a water cooler from Mercado Libre and had the same problems.  Only buy small items now, and not very expensive.

The problem is that I don't understand what ID they want.  I have a Permanente, but I don't believe I have any INF (what is that?) info to give them.

Only Mexicans have an INF card.  Your Permanente card should suffice, if you want to continue along that route.  Much easier to pay through Oxxo.
