Firstly, I buy generic drugs from Farmacia Similares and use both the Chapala and Ajijic stores.  The prices seem to be, if not exactly the same, very close.

Non-generic drugs I buy from Farmacia GDL in Chapala.  The same drug store in Ajijic always seems to have higher drug prices than the Chapala store.  I would not venture to Jocotepec for drugs and the cost of gasoline would be more than the savings on drugs.

I don't know why the Moderator allows/puts up with this sort of bickering on this site.  It is absolutely childish!

Canmex 87 - maybe he is back now.  A friend of mine has her car there and he told her, last week I think, that his mother was quite ill and would be taking a few days off to look after her.  Fortunately, my friend was not in a rush for her car.

This is not a recommendation, just information as to where you can go to get the best rates.  We use Intercam at the moment and are happy with service and rates.  Other financial institutions that I have heard have good rates are Multiva Bank and O'Rourke Financial.  It is up to you to do your own investigations at the institutions.

My Urologist recommended AsoflonDuo, which is Tamsulosin and another drug, and I have been very happy with it ever since.  My prostate is no longer enlarged and I only have to get up once or twice a night.  You should check with your Urologist though before taking.

My doctor put out a post that 2nd dose vaccinations would start on 28 April to 4 May 2021.  Did not mention the location.  Presume something will show up on Facebook or this site sooner or later, or more detailed information from my doctor when he gets it.

There is a post on this site, today I believe, about this very issue.  The revised schedule is there.  It appears the current schedule will continue for those 60 and over, ie. I heard we will get second shot in a couple of weeks.

This is a bit confusing.  It says food selling businesses must only sell takeaway.  Does this mean restaurants and such  stores as  Aurera?

It also says hotels and restaurants must work at 30% capacity.

Make sure the site is secure if you want to use it to pay.  The last I heard, it was not!!!

I noticed that someone on Facebook said the site is not secure and apparently it says so when you open the site.  I think I am going to go to City Hall to pay mine, unless I hear that things have changed.

We have always used Zeta Gas and have never been ripped off.

There is a tiny hole at the edge of my ceiling fan and something is causing a brown substance to seep out of there and I am not sure if it is termites or something else.  When I went to Prisa in Ajijic, the guy said it would not be termites as there is no wood in the ceiling, just concrete and plaster, although I know from experience there are metal beams in the ceiling as well.  He suggested putting a sealer on the hole to close it and see what happens.  Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem.  If so, how did you stop this brown substance from coming out of the tiny hole.  Today it was about a meter long and not very narrow.  This is about the third time I have removed the stuff and it always comes back.  Obviously I must fill the hole, but with what?

We purchased a film from Parisina in downtown GDL.  They have various different colours and types.  They are not terribly wide and so may not be appropriate for your window (have forgotten exact measurements of them).
