Thank you so much! This number is the Ajijic Telmex office direct line?
When you say "I just set up another service in Chapala" - are you meaning that Telmex has opened a new office in Chapala?
hi, well i dont know if that number is the direct line in Ajijic, but the sign on the door there said it is a number to deal with whatever you need. No there is no office in chapala that I know of. I meant we have a place in chapala that we needed wifi also along with our house in another location. good luck.

we just returned from the border. No problems at all. Easy drive to Matahuala. Leave here at sunup, arrive Matahuala about 2:00, leave the next morning at sunup arrive border about 1:00. But we never go Loredo anymore. So many lines. We go Del Rio, or McAllen or piadras Negras. Just a thought.

They are NOT really closed. You will find that the "mini" door in their gate is open and one man is always on duty. If the government shows upl....they are cleaning....if a customer comes....HOLA.
We just ordered from them.
wow, great, can you tell me where they are located??? need furniture

Really...to be walking around on the street with nobody around and wearing a mask? To have helicopters observing us. It makes no sense. I am sure I will get all types of criticism for this as most cannot tolerate a view point that does not agree with mainstream. It all defies logic.
It's really simple. People who have compromised immune systems and feel they are at risk can take all their precautions, including staying home. They can stay where they feel secure and control the ins and outs in their own homes. They can wear masks or whatever it is that makes them feel secure.
The rest can make their own decision. We are adults, not children who need a government to run our lives and have police helicopters flying over and threatening us.
AMEN AMEN AMEN

I'm pretty sure that would backfire and is too extreme of a measure for me , plus my car is worth a lot more than theirs. I sometimes park on the street in front of our gate for brief periods, too much stress to worry about consequences.
Its never good to have enemies in Mexico is say
yes, i would never ever do that and never recommend anyone doing it. Just thought it kind of 'funny" what they do.....really not funny...just could not think of another word
-
I am sure you are not going to do this but all of our mexican friends say in mexico if people park in places not respecting others they puncture their tires. The cost of repair is not worth parking there anymore........I would not do it and I'm sure you will not do it. Just thought I'd tell you what alot of them do, so we are told. They say No Parking signs are too expensive for them and puncturing the tire is the "mexican way".....lol

Lots of people here do not desire to understand our Republic, they just want to bash because they are jealous of America. That is just the way it is and they don't even deny it any more.
Im encouraged that you know we had a Republic in the beginning. Was it Benjamin Franklin that said "if we can keep it !!" A Democracy always crumbles into Socialism and then when Socialism emplodes because the haves are tired of supporting the have nots, a Despot comes riding in on a white horse to save the day and they become Dictatorships. Our founding fathers knew this. In a Democracy when the majority rule they can pass a law that the majority feel it is best to kill everyone over 70, and guess what? That is the law. Also in a democracy, New York and California will make all the decisions, the rural people have no say. That was the brilliance of our founding fathers who instituted an Electoral College to have equal representation. Our history books have been rewritten so that the younger generation and even some of us older people dont have a clue to the beauty of a Republic.

Wow, could not believe what I was seeing at the bottom of the Libriamento and just across the street in front of Walmart. There was 2 TSLA models on display. I believe one was the model S and the other the model X. It looked like you could test drive them. Just to let you all know, I am a TSLA fan as clean and renewable energy is the future. Yes I do also own TSLA stock (wish I could have afforded to buy more...).
I have googled electric cars. China now sells a little 4 seat electric car for about $4000 US in mexico City. They might deliver. Im looking into it. There are alot that are like a motorcycle with 3 wheels but i prefer a regular 4 wheel and steering wheel

Hard for me to believe this is the monthly rate. I looked on the site, but did not see a price. Is this a monthly rate?
so sorry, I just now saw your post. Yes those are the rents. We mostly have mexican friends. They pay much different rents than the expats. Of course they do not know how we pay the kind of rent we pay. Just two different worlds. Our good friends pay $1700 a month pesos, have a two bdrm, large. Not much curb appeal but that is pretty normal.

I'm a little (a lot?) confused. On google earth it looks like the macrolibramiento currently deadends at 23 (chapala hwy?), with only option to head several miles toward Guadalajara until you get to a flyover where you can head back to Chapala. Is this planned to change in October? Where is Lopez Mateos?
we have a power monitor that blocks over or under voltage but will have to get and install the Mexican version that converts under or over voltage to correct voltage.
Our coach is older, has a 38 degree wheel cut, takes a lot of room to make a turn. Will probably stick with Roca Azul at first, take a look at other options after we get there, see if we can fit.
Will need one 100 gal fillup in Mexico, coach has a large (200 gal) tank. Toll fees are an unknown. If based on axles, have two on coach so guess fees would be about the same as two cars for our coach and toad. Will we be surprised?
Thanks
mike and molly
As far as tolls. In our Honda Fit we always allowed $60 US , then got a truck, allowed $100. I personally would have $200 for a motor home. But I could be wrong. We have a 40 foot 5th wheel in the states. We have thought of bringing down from time to time but with these roads it would be disastrous to make a wrong turn so you really need to know where you are going. Weve lived here 7 years and for 4 of them went back and forth every 4 months to care for parents and with all that experience still made wrong turns. Have you ever been to this area? This is not to discourage you as Ive seen really big motor homes here, but it might be worth your while to drive down in a car, stay in a rental and look the place over first. Or find someone who has actually driven here with one. But good luck and enjoy when you are here.

no they were not open today. But it is very easy to get what you need by texting to their whats app number if you speak spanish or use your google translate, and they respond promptly. I actually find it easier than going into the office. Let me know if i can help you.
