  10. Ok, yes he gave us the Azul plan at first. We were not aware of the Ambar (bronze) plan so the next year we told him we just had to reduce the cost. So explained that the middle class mexicans use Country 2000 and other good hospitals and you dont need the "boutique" hospitals. So we switched. Here is what we pay and we are 65 and 63, no pre existing conditions. 2020-2021 year 56,027.30 pesos about 2,858.00 US It went up $9000 pesos from last year.....We pay this year simi anually which is 5% more which is $2,801 pesos more about $142 US with the peso rate when we did this at 19
  11. ours with Bellon GNP is $2000 per year, 65 and 63. We have the Bronze plan. No "boutique" hospitals that are in the Blue plan. But it includes Country 2000 and other very very good hospitals that are excellent and we have had great experience with them.
  12. I knew to never accept the rate and did not....but thanks for the advice
  13. I discovered something interesting. We had always gone to CiBanco because of the low fee. But one day we went and got 10,000 pesos. My bank statement showed $475 U.S. taken out. the next day i had to go back and get the same amount. They were out of money so i went to Banorte in Chapala which has a 40 pesos fee. I got 10,000 pesos but my bank only took out $450. It was a difference of $25 US. It was only the next day and the rate was the same. I have since experimented with both ATM's and have found the same result. So as a result I now go to Banorte. Has anyone else seen this? I k

  17. Lisa, my very young in her 20's friend had a job with ABC teaching english on line to school children in China. She loved the interaction and freedom to work from home. I met another girl here who does the same thing. They work in the wee hours of the morning for only a few hours. The paycheck was just deposited into her U.S. account. No permanent visa required. Just a good internet connection and good english skills. They started requiring a degree. So if you have a degree this might be an option. Some companies do not require that you have a degree, but pay less. Good luck
  18. Yes, our very good friend. Very honest, hard working. A person on this board had a plumbing problem which 2 others never could find the problem after money and time never solved. I recommended Jesus and he went out and the person said he found it quickly, fixed it and was finished and the price was good. They were very impressed. Builds homes from raw land. Plumber, electrician, iron work, contruction, everything. Has built many houses here. Jesus (Chuy) Jiminez 331 048 5343 speaks english. 19. yes, i have been trying to get mine for months. They have not had cards available. They told me to call first to see if the cards are available. I have not called in a long while so maybe they are ready. Go up street towards Soriana, turn right on Degollado. That corner is a Fruit water store, green awning. Go up the road. The DIF is on the left, big white building. Enter building, office is on the left. But yes i have been in there 3 times and she says to just call to see if cards are in.
  20. no they were not open today. But it is very easy to get what you need by texting to their whats app number if you speak spanish or use your google translate, and they respond promptly. I actually find it easier than going into the office. Let me know if i can help you.
