  1. Reviving a thread from Dec 2022. I had successful Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment NOB several years ago. I re-aggravated the injury recently and would like to see if the same treatment might work again. As @RickS mentioned in his response from December 28, 2022, “in all the uses that I am aware of should be directed by real time fluoroscopy.” I contacted my local Dr who does offer the treatment, but does not use fluoroscopy or some form of imaging technology. Any local doctors you can recommend that use some form of imaging technology/fluoroscopy to place the plasma in the correction location?  Thanks.

  2. In Mexico, I was told some on-demand h2o heaters have a small tank. My handyman said its because on-demand h2o heaters need electricity (or battery) to startup and we all know about CFE outages. No electricity = cold shower, so to get around that, some on-demand h2o heaters here have a small tank, enough for 1 shower. With Calorex, these are called "De Paso."  Calorex on-demand with no tank is called "instantáneo."

Regarding the OP's question, also check flow rate of your Calorex. Brad Grieve has an article about this,, says a tub needs flow of 16 liters per minute:

One problem I consistently see with homeowners who use demand-style heaters is this. The homeowner will use a higher flow rate of hot water than the water heater is capable of producing. For example, while filling the bathtub, the water flow rate was set at a greater capacity than the demand-style water heater could handle and the client was frustrated with cool to lukewarm water for their bath. We solved the problem by lowering the flow rate to a volume of water that could be heated sufficiently, slightly slower than the maximum capability. If the flow rate is not satisfactory, likely the demand heater size is not sufficient for its use. Typical bathtub users will need a demand-style heater with a capacity of approximately 16 litres per minute to handle the higher rate of flow to fill the tub.

  3. Too fast/too slow, overloaded/under-loaded, sharp left-turn/right-turn, potayto/potahto… at the end of the day, numerous accidents and injuries there, fatalities waiting to happen. There are options. The road/arroyo that goes by El Dorado and ends up by Café Negro - seem to recall the slope is not as steep. A while back, that road was being improved, but unsure if it was completed. One option is to have heavy trucks use that road, avoid the loco Walmart intersection. The fraccs along the road won’t like it, but maybe safer for all.

  4. Yet another runaway truck rolled over at the bottom of the Libramiento intersection by Walmart today. I don’t know if there were any fatalities. This likely has nothing to do with the loco design of the intersection, but due to failed brakes on the truck. Nonetheless, is it too much to ask the local gov’t to implement safety measures? Unlikely there’s room for a runaway truck ramp. Maybe a traffic light near El Dorado, to slow down trucks? Or prevent trucks from using the Libramiento?

The GUAD Reporter said there were similar accidents this year on:

  5. NOB, conventional thought is to water one’s lawn before 10 AM. Benefits include grass having water early helps sustain it during mid-afternoon hot sun, prevents growth of lawn diseases, fungus & molds, etc. Every Mexican gardener I’ve spoken with here says its best to water in the evening, b/c they say the water sits on/in the soil overnight rather than evaporating in the blazing sun. And, they say, I’ll save on water. Are they correct? Or, are the pros-cons a wash?

  6. If you have a Mexican checking acct, you can also pay via your bank. I pay via Intercam. No need to walk/drive to Oxxo, no need for paper (I save downloaded bills to cloud storage), and no need to give Telmex your credit or debit card. Takes 3-minutes to pay Telcel, CFE, Telmex, TotalPlay, etc. via Intercam.

  7. I'm renewing my U.S. passport via https://mx.usembassy.gov/passports/u-s-passport-renewal-by-mail/ and want to get both the passport book and passport card . Price for both is $160. When I try to pay via the payment link (https://www.pay.gov/public/form/entry/102/607957567/ ) it gives me the option to pay $130 for the passport book only. anyone encounter this issue? How did you resolve it? Thanks.

...One possibility is that the response from the bank to the ATM didn't make it.

In this scenario, shouldn't the ATM software at some point inform the user's bank that it didn't receive an OK response, so the user's acct can be credited?

...There should be some fault recorded in the log showing there was a problem at which time Ci Banco should have told your bank to refund the money.

In this 2nd scenario, if CI Banco is acting in good faith, shouldn't they be able to provide Lexy with the fault logs?
