Or use Google. I have to every time I call. Using TelMEX (landline) you may incur a charge, but no charge with TelCEL on your cell phone.

I find it curious that someone in piss-poor health is giving advice on healthy eating, food safety, and using terms like "Garbage in, garbage out." The phrase is "Monkey see, monkey do", not "Monkey say, monkey do".

Where to buy foam core Lakeside?
chapalence replied to HDTVStreamers's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Most framing shops use it so I would start there. We saw them using it in the art shop at Efrain Gonzalez Gallery. -
Maybe a photo will help- https://www.google.com/search?sxsrf=ACYBGNQJNxm9d60pSdIfZ3oxrFmtRy7WDA:1580471832756&q=hotel+ajijic+plaza+suites+address&stick=H4sIAAAAAAAAAOPgE-LWT9c3LElLziswNNWSzU620s_JT04syczPgzOsElNSilKLixexKmbkl6TmKCRmZWZlJisU5CRWJSoUl2aWpBYrQNUAANkI1xVSAAAA&ludocid=2425212041232817216&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj7r6yx5K3nAhVTBc0KHdKrDXcQ6BMwFHoECBcQAw&sxsrf=ACYBGNQJNxm9d60pSdIfZ3oxrFmtRy7WDA:1580471832756&biw=1217&bih=697

If you live here as a resident, why would you need to "bring in" multiple cars? Cars are cheaper here, both to buy and to register.

I cannot imagine why anyone who "must have internet" moves here. As with all things involved in relocating to a foreign country, the learning curve when it comes to services is steep. Steep is okay if all you're missing is a night of Youtube videos and an entirely different matter when you are doing something more important (to you). Guadalajara might be a better option.

Have a willing person "mule" it down. I've had all sorts of things brought down for me and other than a few gifts, I've never paid for this kindness of strangers. https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=lake chapala mule service&epa=SEARCH_BOX -
Try El Granero next to Gossips.

If you mean Flete Martin, the movers, they can be Googled. I can't think of a word in Spanish that uses "ph", but maybe.
-
Do you think Oxxo would build it if they didn't believe they could?
-
I saw them there the other day. The name of the store is Marti's, I believe.

Ask any of the lavanderias in your area. I know Mis Princesas in Chapala does, but I doubt they will p/u in SJC or Ajijic, so you're better off asking those closest to you.

Finding a new home for books
chapalence replied to Fred Habacht's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Drop them off at the American Legion. -
We had Azucena Bateman-Campos of ABC Legal take care of out TIP extension when we renewed our first year visas for three more years. Her fee was reasonable and we didn't have to worry that it was done correctly, nor did we have the hassle of a visit with aduana at the Guadalajara airport.

UNDERSTANDING HOW TO USE YOUR AND YOU'RE: Your is the second person possessive adjective, used to describe something as belonging to you. Your is always followed by a noun or gerund. You’re is the contraction of "you are" and is often followed by the present participle (verb form ending in -ing). There is one rule that will help you make the right choice: If you can replace the word with "you are," you should select "you’re". Otherwise, you should only choose "your".

IMPEACHMENT watch at EL Barco or anywhere else?
chapalence replied to Joyinmexico's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
No, but our Oregon Senator has a link on his FB page to watch the hearings live. Perhaps yours has a similar link. -
US phone umber that rings on cellphone
chapalence replied to Bloatedtoad's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Have them call you and hang up immediately. When you see them on caller ID call them back. Free, easy, and far less complicated than other options. -
Just so ya know- the trip buy bus to Guadalajara is cheap, comfortable, and relaxing. A cab ride or UBER to the consulate is cheap and not unpleasant. Whereas only certain things can be taken care of when the consulate staff visits us lakeside, all your needs can be addressed in Guadalajara and many by a simple email to them.

I have called all variety of 800 numbers from my cell phone (TelCEL) and NEVER paid any additional fees in spite of the recording. TelMEX is likely a different story.
-
I suggest you utilyze Telmex.com. If you use Chrome as your browser and have it set up to translate, the page will automatically translate to English. Go to "My Telmex"- "Assistance and Support"- "Request Assistance" My experience with the local office has been less than good, but dealing direct has been excellent. If those around you have service and you don't it is likely a wiring issue. Telmex did a great job troubleshooting and running a new line across the roof, thru the outside wall, around the room to the jack. Cost? Gratis.

Walmart in SAT exchanges of clothing
chapalence replied to InChapala1's topic in Ajijic/Chapala/Guadalajara
Exchange? Likely yes. Refund? Not likely, but if they agree it will not be a cash refund. They will put it on a gift card. -
We drove in with a van packed to the roof and a carrier on top loaded with what we needed to get settled, along with 3 dogs. We had no paperwork on the goods, plenty for the dogs, but after a cursory glance at the totes we were waved through. They just laughed at the three crated Chihuahuas and never inquired about any paperwork for them either.
