If you were unaware, you can reverse your heart disease easily with a vegan diet.  Look up Dr. Esselstyn, Dr. Ornish, Dr Campbell; scientifically and clinically proven.  There is a local vegan whole foods plant diet group on Facebook here to help.

    Best well wishes!

If your heart disease is a heart rhythm disorder like Atrial Fibrillation (Afib), diet will not cute it.

I love the idea of competition. Things will only get better and speeds will go up

Competition is a double bladed sword. If there is not enough business for all of companies, product and support suffer.

Funny you should mention that.  One Christmas Eve, also meatless for us, for the meal of the 7 fishes, I convinced my mother (she was in her late 80s) that alligator was seafood and she let me put it on the table (we were in Florida).  I had thought I had conned her.  Guess not!?!?

And the times I had it, it was very good.  It was also in Florida.

My family observed Lent back in the US (and it isn't certain meats, it's all meats).  When I was really young we observed meatless Fridays year-round.

Price of cleaned shrimp during Lent at the seafood place next to SL was same as pre-Lent.

I read somewhere that alligator was ok for meatless Friday.  It said that it was not considered a land based animal.

For those among us who haven't been her long, a note: as Easter approaches, and the Mexican religious community is not allowed to eat certain meats, they gravitate towards fish and shrimp. And the price of it goes up every year at exactly the same time, ironically...

It has been going on now for over a month with meatless Friday.  It is not just the Mexican religious community.

I have not see any increase in price of shrimp.

Excellent time for shrimp and grits. I just have to leave out the bacon.
