  1. Does anyone know of a store in Ajijic that carries good quality bathroom fittings...ie: towel racks, tp roll holders etc.? Thanks in advance.
  2. Hi there: Does anyone lakeside setup streaming DirectTV Now? With our older Shaw satellite equipment we were only able to get sd channels. Now quite a few of them are gone and, by the sounds of it, we'll lose a bunch more in a couple of weeks. Because nobody knows when Shaw will stop sending their signal this way, we don't want to gamble on spending more money on upgrades. Thanks
  3. Thanks all for your responses. Great info. Again, sorry ComputerGuy for changing the topic.
  4. I apologize for changing the original topic, but I'm actually interested in having a spare modem kicking around. If we can't buy directly from Telmex, then would a modem work out of the box like the one listed below on Mercadolibre without having to do the 192.168-type setup. I'm not familiar with setting up a modem from scratch. https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx/MLM-675113289-modem-telmex-2019-edicion-especial-_JM?quantity=1
  5. Probably a dumb question, but can you actually go into a Telmex office and buy one of these? My older modem/router has to be reset or restarted a few times a day now.

    Bone Soup

I usually boil a whole chicken down with onion, carrot, celery and fresh herbs from the garden (and sometimes a couple tbs. of pollo powder) for about 2 hrs. (remove the bag of gizzards and feet). Then use the meat for enchiladas, sandwiches, soup, etc. Strain off all the veggies and herbs, put the pot in a fridge over night, skim off the fat and freeze the broth for whenever. You get all the meat this way as it peels off the bones very easily.
  7. Are you sure you can't just go to 'Settings' and change the language setting there? I did that to a friend's laptop (Windows 10 - English - originally French) She was given the laptop and wanted it in Spanish. It worked without a hitch. Maybe I just got lucky?
  8. My sister and her husband flew with them from PV to San Jose del Cabo at the beginning of March and said that they were very good.

We are visiting from the coast and just had an outrageously delicious and large rib dinner at Bruno's. Started with a nice fresh simple salad.....then lookout....the ribs came. Very tasty and tender, served with a couple super crispy onion rings, a cold 1/2 cob of corn (on purpose), and a baked potato to die for. Service was fantastic and everyone was super friendly. Way too much food for 1 sitting (for us, anyway). Glad my wife doesn't want the leftovers. I get them all. Time for a nap.
  10. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you do lose your satellite channels you can still view them using Shaw's 'free range' app. on your computer. You have to use a VPN, though, so that Shaw sees you as being in Canada. I only use it on a computer and it works well, but, I suppose, you could connect a computer to your TV via an HDMI cable and watch that way. Not sure how clear the picture would be, though. Maybe someone has tried this?
