  1. Ok, I made up my mind, I will take 2 shots of Tequila, that should take care of the Corona matter. ☺️
  2. Should have checked your list, it would have saved me a trip this morning to FedEx airport location (yes it was closed πŸ˜‘).
  3. Am happy you all wear a mask to cover you face, that is so you do not scare my dog. 😊
  4. Am pretty sure the cartel was made aware of this new regulation so they probably went out and bought a truck load of cheap cell phones about maybe a year ago 😊
  5. Is it really a savings to go to all the way to COSTCO for new tires ? I bought a set of new tires in Jocotepec in September of last year for a total of 3000 pesos (Nissan TSURU). No appointment and in and out in about 40 minutes. They are on the left hand side prior to coming in to town.
  6. I need to read 1984 again. Social media like Facebook and twitter seem to be doing their part as well...😊
  7. I wanted to wire funds but Bancomer requires that I use a digital debit card (this would be an online payment). To do this I need to download their AP's. I do not have a smart phone. A friend of mine tried to use their smart phone but it failed miserably. I was told that maybe Bancomer in Ajijic could cut a cashier check in US dollars. Will try tomorrow....Thank you for your responses.
  8. I have an account with Bancomer but they do not issue cashiers checks in US dollars. (I need to make a payment in the US). Is there any other Mexican bank that would offer this service ? thanks
  9. My Golden Retrievers stomach is more accurate then A Patek Philip watch when it comes to breakfast, lunch and dinner time, but then again she is priceless. 😊
  10. I take it this means "Red light District". Will check it out tonight and report back tomorrow providing that service is provided for the over 60.😊
  11. Just as a side note, many Mexicans working in Laredo are employed in the freight business moving to and from Mexico. Just think what would happen to these jobs if both Canadian and US truck where allowed in to Mexico and Mexican trucks allowed in to the US. As of now, only the trailer moves across the border and in many cases such as flat bed freight has to be moved from one trailer to another.....
  12. My suggestion is to use the bars and cantinas as school classes since they are open, problem solved. 😊
  13. I notice that it has a seat belt, is an air bag an option ? Just kidding, I had a stair lift installed for my mom when we still lived in Canada, it cost C$ 15,000.00 and covered 1 and a half level. My stupid siblings thought it would have been better to move her to a one level home after some 20 years (and no they did not chip in).
  14. Not really connected to Mexico but GM will no longer sell ICE cars past 2035 and Volvo past 2030. Likewise most if not all car manufacturers have an EV line up. In addition, fuel cell technology is catching on for heavy duty trucks. last year I sold my TSLA stock for a nice profit and bought some shares of NIKOLA motors. I wish I could live another 20 years to see this transition to clean air. I was amazed at the windmill capacity installed in Texas, just sorry they where not winterized..(does any one know why they are painted white ? seems like they could use a color that blends in with the back ground). Think about it, in about 20 years from now Auto Zone will go down the same road as Blockbuster (video tape rental business) as the only thing left for them to sell is tires and turtle wax.
  15. Also, it would probably help if you took off your face mask for the photo. 😊
  16. I do not believe there is a marina in Melaque, however there is one in Barra De Navidad about 10 minutes down the road. I was there both in September and in October last year and there was at least one charter fishing boat available. The one I could see was docked at one of the restaurants overlooking the Laguna. Am sure they would love your business as when I was there, I was the only customer at the restaurant and the only guest at the Sands hotel which overlooks the Laguna (very old hotel but very welcoming and at 350 pesos a night...).
  17. Maybe she needed direction from CFE back to her home 😊
  18. And you forgot about the 10 barking family Chihuahuas....☺️
  19. Its a free world (as long as you are not over 60). ☺️
  20. I am surprised that Costco is checking ID's since its a club. Thanks for the traffic update.
  21. The nice thing about the new CURP cards is that they are bar code readable.
  22. Yes Tingting I to need to make a run to Costco. Its mainly supplies for my Golden Retriever. I can get the same stuff at Pancho's, but his mark up is about 40 %..(I checked it once for chews).
  23. Dear chapalatooregon educator, I was fortunate to have parents that taught me common sense. You see I have not changed the way I go about my daily business other then to take basic protections (mask, distancing and hand washing). Of course I am aware that over 60 can have more sever medical consequence if they are already dealing with pre existing conditions. But you see, if your in that category then yes stay home. Do you remember the AIDS pandemic ? I took notice when it spread to the non gay community. So guess what, I simply stuffed my wallet with a couple of condoms. Was it necessary to tell the world to practice safe sex ? Maybe governments should have implemented a sex police squad to ensure compliance.
  24. What is the reasoning for preventing people over 60 to enter ? Do we carry larger viruses ? Do we carry more viruses ? If anything this is turning in to a "nanny state" situation. (Welcome to Socialism).
