  1. I need help dialing numbers, it is sooooooo confusing. I am keeping my American number and cell phone service ( I need to). How do I do the following: a. Call a Mexican landline ( I was told to dial 011 52 1 then the number- doesn't work) b. Call a Mexican cell phone ( I was told to dial 011 52 then the 10 digit number - doesn't work) My cell plan includes a specific service that applies to Mexico, so I have the service. We have a Mexican landline. How do I do the following: a. Call a Mexican landline b. Call a Mexican cell phone c. Call an American cell phone d. Call an American landline.
  2. We are in Brisas de Chapala and our electric went out, anyone else experiencing the same thing? We are use to short outages but this is going on two hours
  3. Should there be more to the phone number
  4. Hi, My husband has a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning, we had a driver coming but due to unforeseen circumstances the driver was forced to cancel. He is a very nice man and he is dependable but this could not be avoided. So my Hubble needs a driver, does anyone know of anyone? We live in Las Brisas, yes I know we need a car, I will be there next week and we are going to be buying one. Thank you for any recommendations.
  5. Ok, this is what I do not understand, on Mexpat life Lake Chapala Facebook I have had several people say the direct opposite. They said that there is a bus every half hour, not the directo, that stops at Chapala Haciendas. So I am so confused, but thank you for all of your input.
  6. So no buses into Chapala.
  7. Because a lot of times people say, I wouldn't do it or take because it's dirty or this and that, I just did not want to hear what they would not do based on their acceptability level.
  8. Going to be living in Las Brisas .Would like to know about the bus service in Chapala? Yes, I know having our own car is best, we will be doing that sooner than later. I know about getting a driver, we already have a very nice man. I , specifically, am asking about bus service. I know locals ride the bus and it might not be up to some of your standards, I am just asking about the public transportation,in regards to the local bus service. Do they have routes they follow and things like that? Thank you.
  9. We need , at least, two TVs. Looking for flat screen, at least, 32 inches. Where is the best place to buy? if you know of anyone who wants to sell one, PM, thank you.
  10. I know someone who has done it in Florida and now she is all lumpy looking. I would imagine there, like here you have to research the person doing it.
  11. Thank you, so much. This is a life saver, not to mention money saver.
  12. OMG!!!!!!! I am so addicted to it.
  13. ****Disclaimer**** I know this is about pets, I did post it in the pets section ,but more people pay attention to this then that. I apologize ahead of time if I violate someone's sense of posting decorum, thank you. Here is there situation, we have three pets; one small dog and two cats. Now, I am taking the dog on the plane with me, and I have a friend flying with me to take one cat, airline policy only allows two pets per flight, one pet per adult. So that leaves one cat leftover, I need to get her there. I am leaving the first week of June , from Orlando, Fl. Does anyone know how I can get the cat there because right now the only thing I can come up with is taking an additional flight to get the last cat. Rehoming the cat is not an option, it is unfair and downright wrong. P.S. I will have all the required paperwork needed for them to enter the country
  14. My husband is there, I will be joining him in a couple of weeks, we both are new to area, he said to make sure you have some very good walking shoes. He said that they are a necessity there and you should have a few good pairs. I imagine they will have them in Guadalajara , but we have not been there to shop, yet. Also, your favorite colognes, just in case they do not carry it there.
  15. July is when the next season starts.

  17. Are any Game of Thrones' fans out here? Please, if there is , what service do use to watch it.
  18. Do not ever believe that was a compliment. Also, do not think think you can insult my child by equating her service to yours. Deplorable behavior will not be tolerated.
  19. You say you do not mind, but you do, because you took the time to write it, those who do not care do not feel the need to state it, but if you are ok with it then so am I. What is it people like you say, Make America Great Again - LOL. I think H.E.B. is fantastic, I do hope they make it down here.
  20. Then you have never been to the Bronx ( I have) and to Miami because that is common. Also, did you know in some of the stores near our nation's capitol there are armed guards in many of the stores, just came back from a visit. Why are you trying to tear down where you CHOSE to live?
  21. We are moving from Orlando, Florida to Chapala and what you are describing happens here. My child is in the USAF, stationed in San Antonio and it happens in those H.E.B stores ( love those). It is sad to say but those types of behaviors happen everywhere. It seems that morals and ethics have taken a back seat to greed and self satisfaction (at any cost). You made a curious statement , "We came from Houston where more Spanish is spoken than around Lakeside but that type of theft was rare. They would steal the whole thing." So Spanish speakers are the stealers because "THEY" is the antecedent for those who speak Spanish. Now, I know you are going to comeback and say you are not racist ( and that is not what you meant), which is irrelevant because the point I am trying to make is that people need to stop stereotyping people and places because by your own words conclusions can be jumped to and misunderstandings can lead to bigger problems.
