  1. I've hit 304 places in Chapala and don't want to drive aimlessly. I need XR (Extended Release) of Renolazine 500mg, and Nifedipine, 60mg. It's the CR that is the problem. Thanks.
  2. Need to refill mucho stashes of meds. Any experience of price comparison here? Thanks.
  3. That's a horse of a different color. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
  4. This is not, IMO, about ignorance of the law, it's about being the victim of a fraud. If you get a counterfeit $$20.00 bill (U.S or Mexican), and it looks perfectly good. When you spend it, are you guilty of counterfitting? If someone dumps a piece of stolen property on your lawn, are you guilty of possession of stolen property?
  5. I just saw if you (an expat) gets scammed with a fake emission sticker, they can get jail and their car impounded. The article goes on to say falsification of a government document is a crime. So unless the expat or whoever falsified the sticker, how can it be justified to blame him/her?
  6. Anyone having issues getting into U.S. Netflix using Express VPN? Chat doesn't help. Their script book doesn't have answers. Tried 5X.
  7. I love that one of the unique qualities of Texas is the ability to be armed. I know they have online some very real looking replica guns. I wonder if they are legal here. Pulling one of them ount if needed, could be helpful. Usually in that kind of situation, the bad guys will back off (unless they also have a gun)
  8. With respect to home invation, my best protection, IMO, is my house itself. I use to live in Vista del Lago at the top street. This was like a big sign saying, "I have money and valuable things inside." Now I live in Chapala Haciendas, and anyone looking at my house wouldn't think there was anything worth stealing. Ditto on my car. Mechanically it's perfect, but from the outside, it is a "junker." No one is going to think I have much worth stealing, though a couple of years ago, in the WM parking lot, someone did steal the "computer" that is under the hood. Must have needed it for their car. Best of health to all.
  9. Of course I don't reply, just curious if anyone else got these notes.
  10. IMO, pepper spray won't work in a home invasion. Why? They usually come armed in some way. You don't bring pepper spray to a gunfight. There are usually more than one person. Once they are in your house, your best protection is compliance. What gives you the best protection are dogs that will bark if there is/are strangers at your house (outside). Light and noise. Home invaders thrive on darkness and silence. Get a police type horn that will work by remote. When that goes off, the baddies, will run. These are tried and true methods. The poster above and the garage door opening, is spot on.
  11. I've had two FB messages from her in the last 3-4 weeks. Both say the same thing. "Do you live in Ajijic? Can I call you?" Sounds scammy to me. I have not replied.
  12. What would be the best day/time to go to Costco so as to miss the mobs? I sae for 2020 the cost of a gold membership is $500 so that seems good. I really want the hearing aid shop. Need a cleaning on my set. Do they do that while you shop? Your experiences? Thanks
  13. If you have one, PM me with info., including cost and location. Thanks.
  14. My Ifiitum. older tha dirt, is i the ack of the house. Will a booster really help? Your experience? Thanks
  15. Older miniature poodle. Have you had it done for your dog? 1. Who did it? 2. When was it done? 3. Results/improvement/success? 4. Recommendations 5. Total costs? Thanks.
  16. My wife says go to private doctor because she doesn't trust the vaccine given by the government. Thoughts (other than about my wife's reasoning)?
  17. It doesn't really matter since prices are going up equally to exchange rate. The difference is that at some point, the pesos will gain strength, but consumer prices won't go down IMO>
  18. My wife doesn't want to get her annual flu shot from the Mexican Health department, she wants a private doctor. I would think private doctors get their vaccine from the Mexican covernment and not directly from the manufacturer. Anyone agree or disagree? Thanks.
  19. As people usually say, "I am asking for a friend." I'm seeking a doctor to talk with about a final exit with dignity and who understands palliative care for a person who wants to be home at the end. Not looking for hospice care. serious responses please, preferably in PM.. Thanks.
  20. Maskaras says the price has gone to $11,000 for 100. They are looking for another supplier in Mexico. That's what I think I heard.
  21. I use a plastic jug to store fuel, don't wait and go to a station. I don't think Pemex would water down the gas, but maybe an individual station owner?
  22. Some advance notice would be nice.
