  1. Here is another question on getting the emission test. As I understand new testing sites are to open in August. Does anyone have any idea where these are supposed to be?
  2. Hi, that would be great. The pool is small and the fence is to keep out the pets. Pete
  3. Looking for some recommendations for someone to put a fence around my pool. Thanks
  4. Found a set of keys last night on 16th of September, half block from Colon. Three keys and a small flashlight.
  5. Looking for some recommendations for an affordable upholstery guy. I have used the fellow by the post office in Ajijic. And there was one in Ribares on the caratara but I believe he has moved. I need to have an umbrella canopy redone. Any suggestions?
  6. Am getting ready to go on a trip and figure it would be a good idea to get a up to date flu shot. Any recommendations where to go?
  7. Went by yesterday and there was snow on the top. That was around 11am.
  8. OK, I have to throw this in about jump starting vehicles. First you need a good quality jumper cable set. Most of the sets you purchase are just 10 gauge wire with a heavy outer coating. These cables wont handle much amperage. If you are trying to jump start a vehicle with these you will need to let the vehicle run for awhile to put some sort of charge in the dead battery. The larger the load the more amps it is going to take to turn over the starter. When purchasing a set of jumper cables pull back the insulated rubber grip and look at the wire, if it is the size of a soda straw
  9. I had some transmission issues with my Dodge Caravan. I took it to Autocheck and had Felipe check it out. It was a bad sensor and a poor connection at the transmission control computer. He speaks good English. If it is something he can't handle he will let you know.
  10. It happened to me OK, here how it goes. The wife and I are in the Liverpool department store at the Gallerias Mall in Puerto Vallarta just looking around when a woman approaches me and tells me I have something all over my back. I reach around and have catsup on my shirt and the back of my pants. The gal then points me to the restroom which is down the hall. I am following a fellow in there. When I enter he sees me and offers his assistance to help clean my shirt and backside. He takes a large bunch of toilet paper and starts cleaning my shorts that have catsup on them. He asks m
  11. How about Yves, they have a great salad bar with all sorts of good things you can add to your plate. Make it as big as you want or go back for seconds.
  12. My wife and I took a cruise this year with a stop in Cozumel. At no time were we asked or checked for visas. We just carried our passports and resident card when we left the ship. I have been on several cruises and have never had any problems off ship.
  13. Hi mkshawn, what you see there is a barrel smoker I built last year. I use it for slow cooking pork butt and brisket. Also as a smoker to smoke sausage. Thought I would paint my wok cooker to match my smoker. If you are interested I can send you some more pictures. Half Glass
  14. Well I had to chime in on this subject. I have been cooking Chinese food for over 35 years, and love it. Coming from the Seattle area, we had a unlimited supply of fresh ingredients to choose from. When I moved here I brought three of my woks down, a 10", 12" and a 18". For heat I purchased a stand alone gas cooker at a local hardware store, purchased a good sized burner at the Monday market in Chapala. And with a little paint and some fine tuning I have a great heat source for my Chinese cooking. I cook outdoors to eliminate any odors and keep the mess down. (Splatter)

  17. Been using Kodi for sometime and love it. Lots of good builds to choose from. With a little patience you can watch about anything you want from current series to old westerns.
  18. OK, so Basa is in the catfish family, sort of. I have always liked catfish much better than Talapia. My question is, is there a red Basa. I see Wal-Mart sells red and blanco Basa.
  19. I purchased a spray mop that has replaceable micro fiber pads made by Rubbermaid from Amazon. It comes with several pads and two refillable bottles. You can put your own cleaning solutions in. I use white vinegar and water to clean our tile floors. Much less expensive than the Swiffer.
  20. Had the guacamole at the Beer Garden. It was so-so. Had better at other places. I thought the guacamole that they used to serve at the Cozumel restaurant was much better.
  21. My wife and I along with another couple had dinner there a few weeks ago. It was on a Friday night. The place was quite busy and the waiter was running all over. Food was fair at best and the service was also a mess. We have dined there before and had a pretty good experience, food pretty good and service OK. With so many good places to dine it may be some time before we return.
  22. Hey, thanks for all the input. I tried the braised pork hock at Charlotte"s restaurant and it was spot on. Cooked just right and the sauce that was served with it was fantastic.
  23. I have purchased items from both Amazon U.S. and M.X. I have found that some items from the M.X. site are more expensive due to the item has some import fees on it. I shop around in the M.X. site and sometimes I find a similar item at a larger discount. Good service and prompt delivery. Have to love Amazon.
  24. Well ever since the El Sarape restaurant closed I have been looking for a great braised pork shank. I have to say I really loved the shanks at El Sarape, slow cooked and served with a delicious red sauce. Oh and lots of tortillas. Any suggestions?
