  1. We were out Sunday from 3pm on... It came on this morning... most of our outages are on the weekend... TelMex truly sucks...
  2. We have used Miguel Zamora for over three years for early morning flights to the US... Highly recommend!!! 766-3349 or 333-808-8038.
  3. One of the best services offered to those living in the Lakeside area is that the consulate will pick up and deliver your passport to either the American Legion or LCS... This is done on a monthly basis... The only hurdle is that one has to have a Banamex check in the correct amount when turning in your passport... It saves a trip to Guadalajara...
  4. I would suggest that you use one of the local mail centers (Handy Mail etc.) which guarantee delivery of US mail. It does cost but we consider it a required operating expense living in a foreign country with a less than perfect mail system...
  5. A high IQ, a quick mind and unfortunately the need to jump on those who seem to find fault with his postings.
  6. Guad Reporter says that emission testing is off until July... That is a starting point as things go here in Mexico...
  7. You can buy at the border or on line. We used Lewis and Lewis... Make sure you get the "get out of jail" endorsement... You might inquire about increasing the limits as the normal policy is not much if there is an injury...
  8. The previous owner of our home paid approximately the same as you... We installed solar and cut it down to an annual monthly usage of 500 pesos... We have a pool, freezer, etc so our usage is more than the average...
  9. CIBanco does not allow multiple withdrawals. The limit is 10,000pesos per day...
  10. CI Banco recently changed its ATM payout... We regularly were able to get 40k at a time until they imposed a 10k limit per card...
  11. Our compound has been paying for garbage collection for years... We have tried unsuccessfully to pay for this year but the government says that the city is trying to work out the problem with the vendor... The garbage is still being collected and it is supposed to be settled by Feb...or manana...
  12. Los Sabinos BP very short line at 12:30pm
  13. You might wish to check to see if you qualify for the foreign income exemption which is over $100k now... Get a good tax accountant...
  14. I stopped last week in Chapala with no luck... No stickers as of that time..
  15. 8:40 Los Sabinos... Line forming 15 min wait 500 peso limit..

  18. You might try Dr Jonathan at Lakeside Medical Group in Riberas... Lisinopril is a available over the counter ....
  19. Social Security was NEVER designed to be a retirement pension... If the government had not raided the fund we would all be millionaires... It is time that those seeking to retire sometime down the road start taking responsibility for their wellbeing and not count on the government...
