  1. They have been in San Carlos for about 8 years. Sevin months of heaven and five months of hell.
  2. We had the same problem with our Telcel modem this week that we've had for around 6 months. Took it to Telcel and found out we had used the allotted 150,000 Mbps that you get per month. Have no idea really why that happened, but we had may have downloaded more this month. So, they let you buy 100 pesos of more Mbps at a time, but that's all. So, if you use that up, then you can go buy another 100 pesos until a new month rolls around. The speed is throttled way down so nothing works until you put more money on it! Give me a break! Hurry up Ilox.
  3. December, late March, April, May NOBs head north for spring at home. No big deal.
  4. Use macrolibriamiento to Tepic, exit PV cuaota to PV- Compestella. Winding road to PV from turn off at Compestella. On a Sunday, 4-4.5 hours to Bucerias.
  5. Yes, there is a limit to the amount you can use. Don’t have it with me, but if you go to the Telcel website all the info is there. Also, not sure what happens if we exceed the limit. Guess we’ll find out.
  6. We’ve had the Telcel modem for about a week now. It was very easy to set up, basically you plug it in and it works. The speed varies considerably at different times of the day, but seldom goes under 10 mbps. Most of the time it’s between 20-30 mbps download and about the same for the upload. We still have Telmex so we’re running both right now. The cost was around $1900 pesos for the modem and you pay upfront for the first 3 months at $350 pesos/month. Of course, it took three trips to Telcel to get the modem, but I have no idea why. You need your passport, visa and a utility bill and the names of 3 personal references with their phone numbers. So far, so good.
  7. I had written this down, but not sure if this guy still helps or not. I’ve never used him. Jose Luis Gonzalez. 331 3264662
  8. Just returned from Home Depot on Lopez Mateos. They have several different models of propane heaters to choose from, many electric type heaters and also an oil-filled heater. We had to wait while they brought down a huge pallet of all the different heaters. It looks like they’re going fast, so get there soon.
  9. My husband has had his homocysteine levels checked numerous times at both Chopo and Go labs near Maskaras clinic. The tests were ordered by Dr. Carlos Garcia at Maskaras who is an internist. The cost as of yesterday was $950 pesos. Hope that helps.
  10. My U.S. American Express works, but MasterCard doesn't.
  11. Dr. Eloy Barragan one implant - 20,000 pesos, last year. No problems at all.

CG - walnuts work nicely, give it a try.
  13. Swamp coolers are great in low humidity, but worthless in high humidity. As in the warm rainy season. An A/C unity will only be used a short time during the dry season and very little in the rainy season. The CFE bill is only a little higher for the year.
  14. Ch. HACIENDAS as of yesterday, we went from 3 download to 10. Although, other people on Codornices haven't seen the increase yet.
  15. Chapala Haciendas - 1.5 before, now consistent 3.0. The fiber optic cable runs directly in front of our house.
  16. Legally you need to pay double time no matter what, or you could get into trouble at a latter time. Suggestion: Give a raise per day. Saturday give him extra work. Have a day to do extra chores around the house/yard.
  17. Computer Guy - question for you. Is the modem that you're referring to the dual band modem with the 2 antenna on the top of it? Is that the one that would work with the fiber optic? Thank you.
  18. Suggestion: Take a photo the same day as the reading, compare to the bill before and after.
  19. It depends on your bank and what they allow per day, doesn't depend on CI Banco

I've never seen that Walmart doesn't have them I think usually mixed in with the olives. If not, Superlake has them as well.
  21. I am the Chapala Haciendas resident who took the poisoned pitbull to the vet, Delfino Aguilar. There has been some confusion on some blog sites about the dog dying at the vets office. I rushed the dog to Dr. Aguilar, Dr. Aguilar did everything he could to save the dog. I worked for a vet for five years and have a BS Degree in Agricultural Sciences. I have four dogs of which three are Mexican rescues that Dr. Aguilar takes care of. Dr. Aguilar is an excellent vet. Jon B.
  22. I am a Ch resident, and the person who rushed the dog to the vet. The dog died on the vet`s table. Yesterday I took four dogs from Codornices to The Ranch so they are safe, The dogs were well taken care of here, but there was no openings for a safe haven until Thursday. The dogs came from a ranch close to CH and abandoned. The CH cameras are non operational, but will be put on a TO DO LIST with the election of a new board December 3. A big thanks to Taaffee for taking the lead to find the poisoner.
  23. Jim at Glorioso's next to Tio Sam's. The best with color and cuts. I honestly wouldn't go to anyone else.
