You're thinking of the work done by Bob Howe and the insidelakeside,com members who refurbished (rebuilt) 64 benches on the Ajijic malecon.

Problemchild made a very generous offer to kick start the benches in Chapala but I think made the mistake of entrusting money to the local government. He should have purchased the materials and held them and let Chapala supply the labour.

A helicopter made at least two trips to the Lake yesterday afternoon. Dropped a tethered bucket a couple of hundred meters off the shore in Riberas and then took off North bound.

Sounds onerous. I did my renewal about 4 months ago using the LCS services. Left at 9:00 AM. About 14 of us went in on a chartered bus. It was as if reservations were made. The only hold up was waiting for all 14 of us to be processed. Took about two hours then back on the bus to lakeside.

Shouldice in Toronto is world famous for hernia repairs. 

When I had a bilateral done there 25 years ago half the patients were from out-of-country.

The procedure is done with only a local anesthetic They asked me if I wanted a mirror so I could see the procedure. I respectfully declined.

I was walked off the operating table and on a stationery bike later that day.

Best of all the entire cost was covered by Canada's universal health care.

I noted that someone, I assume a moderator, deleted Jonny's sexist and insulting response to Sputnik's original request. I believe he said something like "what other duties" would the employee be required to perform.

I have to agree with Kyle

I'm an 8 year resident here and an occasional visitor to this Board. There is something strange about someone who persists with Jonny's types of posts. It's intimidating to posters and destroys what might otherwise be be thoughtful  threads. His posts are not amusing.

Is this the image of Lakeside Chapala.com wishes to project to visitors to the web site? I hope not.

About a year ago I got a CFE bill that showed no output from my solar array. The current and previous readings were the same. Thank goodness I had enough accumulated kWh to cover the deficit. The reading was corrected two months later.

I would hate to have had to go after CFE for a credit resulting from their screwed up meter reading.

Placed the order in the Ilox office on March 8.  Staff in the office said installation would be 2 months.  Guys show up today (March 16) to do the installation.  And although I didn't get a call or email warning, I can be very flexible for better internet speed.  The guys didn't speak much english but we managed just fine.  They were done in an hour and a half.  Now happily getting 39.2 down and 9.5 up.  Feels like warp speed.   I signed up for the phone/internet package "Doble Full 40x30" for 399p per month.  I used a US credit card for the repeating monthly charge.
