  1. That is Lety's cellphone, who is the desk/ office manager there. They have had landline problems since they moved there. Lety is very good, despite this stressful situation ! They also give out out a second number for her assistant, Beth. That number is 332-050, 4009. However, I don't know how good her English is.
  2. Thanks for all your replies. I got a hold of the juice guy at Guad Farmacia today and he showed me that he is now in a little white bodega at the far east side of the strip where Multiva is located. Just a white metal doors by the side where the food trucks, etc. are. He tried to say bodega to me by Dona's Donuts but I could not comprehend what he was saying. So gracias to the juice man for clarifying it for me. Connected with Carlos at the bodega and hope to show him the chairs tomorrow.
  3. Hi: Spoke once with Carlos, who used to hang out on the corner by Guad Farmacia, but could not find him there or across the street near Dona's Donuts where he said he was. Anyone know where to find him or somewhere else I can have them done? Thanks
  4. Their cell phone number is 331-438-4969, listed on Facebook.
  5. That is a contradiction of terms here: Noise enforcement !! Mexico loves its noise !!!!!
  6. UGH, we are not talking about M&J 's schedule. We are talking about Pizza 2 Go Go !! I thought I read that Pizza 2 Go Go is open 2-9 pm Tues- Sat. I like Josh, think he pronounced his name: Josue? --first met him when he worked at Perry's, before he opened M&J Pizza. He is a good man. Thanks.
  7. If you want great Italian sausage, but in a casing, go to Tony's Meat Market in SAT, just west of Super Lake. Tastes like the good stuff in the States ! Also a bargain at 100 p per kilo.
  8. Thanks so much !! Sounds like they are definitely worth a try !
  9. Located in Plaza Bugambillas on the Second Floor, over El Torito. How is it, for those that have tried it?
  10. Noise restrictions? What a joke !!!!!! Unfortunately, it is part of the culture here !
  11. I appreciate the one useful response. My answer to that one is that the contractor I mentioned was one of the window shop guys located on the carretera !
  12. Thanks, but the roof is too high for these to be installed and be effective. Again, being on the second floor, when the storms blow directly from the east, nothing overhead would stop the water from coming in.
  13. We are getting prepared for rainy season and have had progressively worsening leaking windows in our second story front bedroom window facing the lake. We have large windows facing both East and Southern directions ! We are entering our fourth rainy season with this problem. In addition to being on the second floor, the largest windows are over a pool -- prohibiting a ladder or scaffold to be used on the outside. Does anyone have any recommendations regarding who could repair such a problem? We have had one window replaced, but contractor was not much help on the others. Thank you !
  14. CanSino is designed to be similar to Johnson and Johnson's vaccine makeup, which also requires only one shot. Do not know that much CanSino, whether or not it has had any of J&J's problems for women from 18-50. IT would have been much easier for administration and patients if we had had access to one shot regimen here in Ajijic and Chapala. Those who who drove into Guad or elsewhere to successfully get the Pfizer vaccine were very fortunate. I hope the boosters next year are available in the private medical sector, who can manage things much more easily than the Federal Government here.
  15. Pete, Be careful to make exact copies and if your Tel-Mex bill you are using says 4 pages at the top, you better have all 4 pages. They seem to take pleasure in rejecting you for not having exact pages of your copies, along with the required originals. The were very nasty to me and the experience was awful, even though I thought I was pretty prepared. It would be nice if they just accepted your expiring license and simply renewed it. The easiest part was getting the appointment online. Also, I speak Spanish but found all the clerks there to be difficult to understand. And, although one post said the person in the side copy room speaks English, I did not find anyone there who spoke English. Buena Suerte !
  16. What do they serve, all Mexican menu? What style, from different regions? I miss El Serape !! Thanks.
  17. Doctors at Ajijic site stressed to wait 20 days after first injection to have alcohol. I will go with the doctors' opinion. Why would they make it up? This may be very well only applicable to Sinovac.
  18. Took mine back to Katya and got about 135 pesos for my three. Trouble was finding their new location, somewhere off Pepe Guizar. Address is: Lirios 57. Colonia Las Redes. Call them for directions at 765-3999. No longer located behind the Chapala Mercado in the plaza. Why set them on the street when they are worth money ?? !!
  19. Are you saying the 42,000 p cost included the fees for Puerto de Hierro Sur Hospital ?? If so, that is a pleasant surprise. I had laparoscopic duo hernia surgery there and I got swindled by the hospital. It was 149,000 p just for the hospital and that was for one day in and out-patient stay. Based on that experience, I would never use that hospital again.
  20. OK, now that we THINK we may have resolved the location question, the important questions are: " HOW IS THEIR PIZZA" and price, please????
  21. I am disappointed, I loved their Thai food. From another thread, sounds like a good alternative might be the Thai place that delivers; Eduardo?
  22. Don't forget that Aero Mexico filed for the MX version of Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization last year. Maybe they have not made refunding tax credits much of a priority. Maybe going with a travel agent when flying Aero Mexico might be a safer bet.
  23. Agree with barrbower. No reason someone needs to challenge the definition of a "third world country". The questioner speaks for itself !
  24. My Expat health insurance just went up 30%. Gasoline was supposed to get cheaper with the "competition" created by Nieto's energy deregulation. Poor Mexican people are increasingly not able to afford to drive. SAD. Not sure about north of the border, but inflation is sure present here on most fronts. Seems like every time you shop at Walmart, many prices just keep going up. Some prices around Ajijic are starting to compare to the US., IMO.
  25. Yeah, fortunately more than a lick. But, I normally do not respond to moronic questions like yours !!
