for some reason i cannot pm you....i have been studying and using homeopathy for more than 25 years with good results. belief is not necessary as it works well with animals and i've used it with an autistic boy who is graduating from high school this year after being mute until 7 years old. it is effective, cheap and not unpleasant to use. maybe we should start a group for sharing experiences.

    I tried to PM you.

Your preferences may need adjustment, or your mailbox may be too full.

I know who you are in person, and can contact you off this board if need be.

See if you can fix your preferences, and if not let me know!

In the same vein, I'm not sure they are considered holistic, but definitely are alternative. My Corgi  is seriously allergic to fleas. If I missed his flea drops by even a couple of days, he was scratching like a fiend and biting himself and causing hot spots. He is a little flea magnet. Six months ago I bought a Kokoty Flea Repellent Pendent  I know an ultrasonic device makes no sense and that most Vets would tell me it couldn't work. I also know that my dog hasn't had a flea attack since he got the pendant. And no hot spots. And we are both happy about that.

Sometimes you have to open your mind to possibilities.

Having an open mind is key.

I do not think what I use for fleas, is considered holistic in the least.  However, our homeopathic vet recommends neem as it is extremely safe, that recommendation coming without selling me any of the products.  So it is nice to know that neem does not interfere with their system and is safe to use while treating with a homeopathic remedy.

There are many safe (non-pesticide) flea preventives.  It does take some research to find those, and I have heard of that pendant. It looked enticing, and too good to be true.  I am not surprised it worked for your dog, I had heard good reports on that.  I tempted when I looked at that pendant, but my dogs are oh so exposed and we are very active (hiking) with them and their doggy friends.

I decide to go with a natural Neem pet concentrate, and have been impressed with that. The small bottle mixes up over a year of applications.  We have not found a flea/tick yet on our dogs, and they hike and roll around in the mountains, sometimes with other dogs which we found to have fleas after the fact.  None of those fleas found ours appealing, so this must be working.

I don't believe in big pharma, or pharmaceutical technicians and I won't be duped.   I do believe in a good surgeon and ER for broken bones etc.   I'll send you a pm.  Maybe we could meet up for tea.  I've been fruitarian raw vegan since January along with taking herbs and glandulars.  I'm not into isolates.  A lot of people have noticed I'm on my way to Wellville as I eat my fresh fruit.

For those not educated about healthcare,

There's an informative film streaming for free called, "Bought." Worth the time to watch it if you're one not aware.  Pharmaceutical drugs don't cure anything, they only treat symptoms and cause more problems, they're acidic and we need to be base/alkaline.   If you're interested in reversing sickness, you can unless you wait too long to do anything about it.  Even late stage patients can improve their quality of life by eating raw fruit.

Portimon--Did anyone PM you directly, as you requested, and give you an answer that was useful to you? Hope so.

    Lexy

I did receive PM's... Not necessarily looking an "answer" though.  More so, a mutually beneficial exchange of experiences and information. I really did not expect to have heard from many, as most of us are brought up on conventional and big pharma.  One person that I have heard from, was not aware that there was a Homeopathic Vet which visits our area.  Much to be gained from this exchange of information.

Did you read the article? At no point does it say that homeopathy has any better efficacy than does the placebo effect. In fact, it states quite clearly that most benefits are tangential to homeopathy's health claims; benefits such as keeping people from needless, and potentially harmfull, use of antibiotics. To repeat, at no point does the article state, without qualification, that homeopathy actually works!

Thanks for checking out that link.

We each have to choose what is right for us.  There will always be those who counter our choices, much like the static that many of us heard in our choice to move to Mexico.  Point being, is if you listen too closely to those who say nay, then you may indeed miss out.   I am not here to change peoples views, ridicule, or gossip about others, when perspective differs.

  6. For those who are interested, I have included a link to a  (free) book, to understand what I am referring to in that of Samuel Hahnemann approach to Homeopathy:

    http://www.drdooley.net/Book.pdf

The word itself, Homeopathy, conjures up images of a person treating themselves with herbs and multiple "natural" off the shelf treatments.  In fact, the above approach, uses one remedy, to treat the whole person, and frowns upon multiple ingredients or remedies.  That read is a valued resource, many true Homeopathic Doctors recommend patients read.  A great clarifier to be certain, for so much is termed Homeopathy.

Many people have benefited from homeopathy without believing in it, so not a placebo in their case.

Again, she didn't ask for anyone's opinion.  In fact, she asked for private messages.

An open mind and research brought us to Mexico.  Just think what the same might do for your health.

  8. I am looking to connect with others who (are living in this immediate area of Lake Chapala) :

Have sought out and utilized Homeopathy, as per Dr. Samuel Hahnemann's teachings.

This would be for a mutual sharing of resources and experience.   I am interested in hearing

from those who have benefited (or would like to benefit),  as this applies for both human and pet health.

    Please PM me directly.

    Thank you.

Not sure what you are asking but I have Met Life insurance with Bellon for years.  Wonderful agent. Insurance premium will depend on what policy you choose and what deductible you choose.  If you need his contact information:

    Office phone 766-5151,

    Email for Andre Bellon:  andre@bellon.com.mx

That is exactly what I was requesting.  Thank you!

  10. What is the current insurance premium for Bellon health and does it differ for a 58 year old vs a 70 year old?

    Contact information please.

    Email, as well as phone.

Currently on Boomers, but the announcement of a 1,000 hike in deductable to 3,500 and 600 USD increase on premium ($1,940.00)

is a bit severe for someone without pre-existing anything and young.  Funny, they didn't give even two weeks notice before required renewal/commitment. That was the most unimpressive element in this.

  11. I ordered from the US website, after speaking with customer service in US and they said that they didn't have a Mexico website.

I received my shipment without fuss or duty, and quite frankly the discount was very good... I stayed clear of the 50.00 limit (Duty happens over 50.00?) Cost was much less (see below) what I'd pay in stores lakeside.

    www.puritan.com

Ship speed : Took 4 weeks to reach me.

I ordered three bottles for 13.39 (vs 60.00 here) and paid 10.00 shipping. Total was 23.49 vs 60.00!

Happy with this source of shipping PP vites. Faster arrival than most other vite suppliers.

Has anyone ordered supplements from Puritan Pride? Any duty charged at the border?

Also, approximately how long did they take to arrive here.

    Thanks.

  12. Thank you for sharing!

    Where is this clinic located?

Were you sent by a Gyn, Breast specialist or GP?

I would recommend an ultrasound at the DEI clinic done by Dr. Beatriz at this link http://www.dei.org.mx/nosotros/nuestros-medicos/

I had a very unusual problem and I was sent by my doctor to have only her do the ultrasound. Also had a digital mammogram done there at the same time. She speaks English, and told me what she was seeing and what was on the mammogram. She is a doctor and I asked for her advice which was spot on. It turned out to be a fibro anillo (fibro tissue wrapped in a circle around fatty tissue) and it was very painful. She said it was very rare and had seen very few of these. Several other doctors who looked at the ultrasound agreed with her.

  13. Thanks for that info and I will be in contact with her. The name of Dr. Illana Ramos name keeps coming up!

I would be very careful when using Mercola as a research source - Quackery seems to be his specialty.

Yes there is a higher percentage but if you do the research you will also see that the benefits outweigh especially for woman over 40. Mammo's are still the best choice, and as I said if you have dense breasts then tomosynthesis is also advised. I have both plus the ultrasound done. You probably would do best to speak to a Dr. to better understand what you should be doing in your particular case. If you do not have a GYN here you may want to speak to Dr. Iliana Ramos - she is in Jocotepec and an excellent Dr. she will be able to guide you. Her office no. is 387-763-2610, email (which is new) ramos_iliana5@hotmail.com - address is Josefa Ortiz De Dguez no. 29 - Jocotepec

    Good Luck

  14. Noting again that Banuelos comes out as recommended, both here and in PM's to me.

Also looking up Tomosynthesis which appears to be higher exposure (like CT scan)

    Concerning : http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/02/19/tomosynthesis-mammography.aspx

Currently reviewing both ultrasound Thermographic and comparing to Mammos:

    http://www.breastthermography.com/mammography_thermography.htm

(This link was from a thermography site, so still searching for an unbiased web source) )

    Thanks again!

I would do some further research on Thermographic screening. There was a study done (2012)
by the American Cancer Society showing that it was not as good as a mammo.
I believe also that in the States it is mandatory for Dr's to inform their
patients with dense breasts that a mammo may not show cancer since the dense
tissue and cancer shows white. Tomosynthesis with a mammo/ultrasound would be a
    better alternative.

Banuelos in Guad is one of the best facilities for woman, very good Dr.'s - mammo,
tomosynthesis, ultrasound, bone density etc. My GYN of 4 years here (Dr. Iliana Ramos) has always
recommended them above all others. They offer a package price when having several
procedures done. You can request same day results also.

If you want the address, phone number just let me know. It is very easy to get to and
    they have parking.

    Good Luck

  15. Thanks for that thought.

I ruled out what existed at that point, just two years ago. I did so due to a special family consideration.

That said, I won't be testing for that again. Rather, I am just looking to be responsible, in finding an

excellent (breast) specialist and top notch diagnostic testing.

Many on this board and back in the US receive false negatives on tests. I've known two (US) people personally, which testing and/or the medical community missed on finding their cancer during a cancer screening. Both have since passed.

Genetics is advancing rapidly I think there are over 20 genes related to breast cancer now you might want the results reviewed.

  16. That is great advice. Thank you for sharing.

    (Sending you a PM)

I have posted about this before. Ladies, you know your own body. If you have tests and they read negative but you think otherwise, by all means delve deeper. I had tests which came out negative but I knew something was wrong. I kept getting sicker and weaker until I finally had to come back to the US. I had stage II breast cancer!! Listen to your bodies!!
