  1. I got defensive when I was criticized for responding to a -post and suggesting that some people may want to start thinking about ways they can be pro active in fighting this virus that has the potential sweep through Lake Chapala like a wildfire killing hundred if not thousands. I'm sure somebody will want to nit pick about where i got that Idea or how that can possibly happen. Let's talk about it.
  2. I would would rather go here https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/home/about/ Than the NIH for updated studies and info. Have fun.

  4. Go back to school Doc. This is 2020. Some antioxidants help prevent illness and disease. Regular doctors are not schooled in using anything but FDA approved drugs. But look what is happening today in this crisis. They are throwing everything at the wall to see what will stick. Radical for the medical community to be using 10 if not hundreds of off label therapies on covid patients and the FDA has given them all the green light. When it comes to antioxidants I have a doc that prescribes one to my wife/ It works. And his comment was you got lucky. The supplements on the market are SAFE. You are a researcher. Do your research. Things change fast now a days. My post was about taking a proactive stance against this virus. I see ambulances going by my house like crazy all day. 40 covid dead at the hospital a mile and half away.
  5. If you want to discuss ANTIOXIDANTS pm me. wtf? Some people may be interested in being proactive fighting this virus.
  6. I told the mod if they don't like my post to delete them. Go back and read it.
  7. Please relax, Hun. I'm not going to pull a Trump and recommend you drink Clorox or Lysol. If you don't like what I post, delete it But if I were you I would think about, and look into what I posted and maybe help protect yourself from this virus. It's a discussion and you can take it or leave it.
  8. Walking cures many health issues. Good advice. Get the blood moving. The lung issue with covid, they call it a cytokine storm. From what I have researched, it looks like an autoimmune problem where the body starts attacking itself. I have a lot of ideas about it and all I can say right now is ANTIOXIDANTS. I'm not ready to recommend anything yet but pm me if you want some recommendations. The remdesivir drug looks good. hope they get it out asap.
  9. Hard to understand why any landlord or renter would want to insert a currency risk into the deal. Usually leases are for a year or less. If it is a Mexican landlord it ends up in Peso's anyways. Canadians have to convert to dollars and then peso's. It's silly. Hard to believe that people haggle over ten peso's , but i have caught myself doing it more than once and it is embarrassing.
  10. If your landlord was charging $500 dollars ten years ago and never raised the rent you would still be paying $500. 5000 pesos 10 years ago is 10000 pesos today but your inflation clause held the increase to 7500 pesos, so you made out on the inflation clause.
  11. Right now I think the border is closed to non-essential travel. If that doesn't change by August there may be a lot of rentals to choose from. The snowbird population will probably drop, one way or another, because of the virus.
  12. The biggest Government lie of this century was you don't have to wear face-masks. Don't wear face-masks. Face-masks will hurt you. All of a sudden its mandatory to wear face-masks.
  13. Nit pic on this. 88% of people put on respirators die. Mortality displacement. We of the older population have weakened immune systems. The thymus gland, which produces t cell antibodies to fight infections shrinks up after puberty and is not function very well after 60. This baby goes after the lungs vs the stomach. I saw a new interesting trial where a combination of 2 drugs are neutralized and put through the respirator. A blood thinner and antioxidant. Hope it works.
  14. Don't quote me but 99.9% of corno deaths are people over 60.
  15. I think in Florida there was voter fraud a few years back and the last election voter suppression by 3 million votes.
  16. And millions are asymptomatic. Some get diarrhea and i am sure some are throwing up. This drug looks really really good. Remdesivir I believe they found a treatment here and I hope it hits the pharmacies by July.
  17. The Zink is gone NOB. Sold out. Good ideas though. Something I read yesterday is interesting and what would help this is HGH which is prescription and controversial "The thymus gland is located at the top of the breastbone and is where the majority of T cells are produced by the immune system. One can think of the thymus as being like an army camp where new soldiers are trained and given their weapons to fight invading forces; in this case, the T cells are those soldiers, and the battlefield is your body. As we age, the thymus begins to shrink, and fewer numbers of T cells are created and trained to fight. This structural decay of the thymus is one of the main reasons why we become increasingly vulnerable to infectious diseases, such as influenza and pneumonia. The other reason is immune cells becoming senescent."
  18. That is the best way right now, for sure. I wonder since it is such a stealth operator if it is going to be able to mutate more efficiently and make it harder to come up with an effective vaccine? Our own body is the best defense but the immune system really gets compromised with age. I definitely would like to see new immune boosting therapies. They are out there but you know how that goes..... Don't ask your Doctor.
  19. That is why this virus is so bad. They say the incubation period is about 5 days (between the time you are infected and the time you have symptoms) But the incubation range is between 1 and 14 days and it has been as long as 27 days. (estimates) Ya some people could be walking around for weeks infecting people and not know it. That is why this virus is so contagious. And they call it very efficient. Compared to most other viruses. The symptoms are fever, tiredness and cough.
  20. In my opinion people will be back to flying a lot sooner than you might think. Business travel may be curtailed a little because now they are learning to use video meeting and conferencing. But I think people are going to get back on the planes. A few years ago I was thinking about making disposable masks for the airlines. A lot of people catch colds and viruses flying. The Asians have been wearing masks for years. I think they will have masks for you in the seat pouch and hand sanitizer all over the airports and planes, soon. My question for you is will you let the snowbirds come back to Lakeside?
  21. Congratulations Lakeside, 3 months virus free. YOU CAN DO IT!!! Look AT Taiwan. Wear a mask, wear a mask, wear a mask. Hand hygiene. Social distancing is working!!!! https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/04/14/834431383/taiwan-reports-no-new-coronavirus-cases-adding-to-success-in-fighting-pandemic
  22. Checking my Utility Bill from My Village in the U S, I pay $12 per 1000 gal. of water used. Sewer is $15 a month and garbage is $27 a month that includes brush and grass clippings pickup. Mexican people can't afford that. But. Nobody waters their grass anymore. If you see someone watering grass, it is so odd you think they must be multi-millionaires. Wastewater treatment has made a dramatic change in the cleanliness of the rivers and lakes. Well worth the 27 bucks a month. I'm sure the Mexican people would conserve water and could pay for more wastewater treatment plants.
  23. My guess is with the restaurants closed down in the most populated states there will be a glut of beef in the supermarkets.
  24. This winter I saw more for sale and/or for rent signs around and construction everywhere, then in the last five years. Maybe not so good for sellers. In the U S now, there is a possibility of the market getting real soft, real fast, with unemployment predicted to rise to between 10 and 30%. Hopefully Mexico doesn't become the next Italy.
