I'm an Exclusive Buyer's Only Realtor. That means while I am associated with a local firm, currently Lake Chapala Real Estate, I have an Independent Contractor's Agreement with the firm. I earn the same small portion of any commissions involved no matter which firm listed the property for sale.
I do not accept personal listings. The way I see it, the seller has his/her Realtor and buyers should have their own as well. There's never a fee to my clients for my services.
I was a Dallas Police Officer for 35 years and the last 17 years of the same 35 years I was a practicing Attorney at Law in Dallas. Yeah, I burned the candle at both ends. I practiced law from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. (no criminal defense work of course)and then became a semi caped crusader (or at least uniformed one) from approx. 4 p.m. until midnight.
Before becoming an attorney I was a part time Real Estate Broker -Investor specializing in creative real estate investments mainly for my own portfolio.
My clients call me the Energizer Bunny Realtor, but compared to the hours I used to work I feel like I'm coasting here most of the time. I host www.ChapalaClub.com which is a free members site (visitors encouraged) dedicated to Lake Chapala and spreading the word far and wide about our little slice of paradise.
When not giving gratis area wide tours of the Lake Chapala area or otherwise helping my clients I enjoy reading/studying entrepreneur materials currently with an emphasis on web copy writing, marketing, Video and Podcasting, etc. with the ultimate goal of becoming a creative marketing entrepreneur trainer guru.
