I am wondering why anyone would continue to use a worker when he had to redo EVERYTHING because the worker SUCKED at EVERYTHING. I mean the worker SUCKED at measuring and used cheap cheap parts and charged a fortune for EVERYTHING. As he worked he destroyed more than he fixed. So, just how many jobs did he do before you noticed he couldn’t measure, was destroying more than he fixed, overcharged for cheap parts, and was simply terrible?

Huh. My iPad was bought in the U.S. I chose which time setting I wanted it to be on in “Settings” and it has automatically changed to the correct time twice each year for eight years.

If you mean the swimming facility in the orange building on Pepe Gazar, it has been closed for quite sometime. Closed as in gone forever.

It is not the word Doctor in front of his name that makes him more knowledgeable than you. He is way more knowledgeable than you about Lake Chapala. It was ignorant and arrogant to dismiss him as you did. That is my point, plain and simple. You are making a fool of yourself.

Dumping another boatload of verbiage does not make you more learned about the lake than Dr. Todd Strong. The article I read said they did not at first know her COD. The report said she had an underlying condition that turned out to be COD. It was just recently they discovered she ALSO had Covid19. I am guessing she was asymptomatic for Covid. She died of, let’s say a heart attack or aneurysm, and after autopsy and blood tests they found out about the Covid. I don’t believe she got on the plane fully symptomatic and actively dying of Covid.

I was gobsmacked by the ignorance and arrogance of mostlylost accusing Dr. Strong of just repeating what he hears about the lake “without really knowing.” This from a person who knows more than Dr. Strong because he has looked at maps! I am totally confused. A poster gives a recommendation for a place to get great yogurt. Then another poster says something about masks. You keep saying that, Pete. You need to accept that in all probability there will not be a vaccine available to the general public (including the old farts) until late spring or summer 2021 at the earliest. Decide you are in Seattle until at least then or suck it up, put on a mask and face shield, and come on home.

What are you looking for in a retirement location? What are your priorities? What would be deal breakers for you? Living here is like living anywhere. You will find much the same in your day to day life but with the differences you would expect from a very different culture. If having a well ordered life where things happen predictably and on schedule is very important to you than much frustration awaits you. If you are curious and adventurous, like learning, and adapt easily you will have great fun.

In defense of crabby boy, I can see where he is coming from. Although he should have known posting the unmasked photo would create a stir among at least a couple of regular posters, he did explain masks were removed for the photo. He has made clear (twice) that the facility complies with virus protocols. There is no need to pound this restaurant into the ground.

Out running errands this morning and decided to throw all caution to the winds by having breakfast at Pancho’s. It (and the store) were busy. Service was good. Protocols being followed. I had the everything omelette which came with beans and a small fruit plate. It was excellent. It has been many months since I had eaten there and was pleased that everything seemed fine (at least for today).
