Helping a friend find a dog walker for 3 dogs in Riberas Del Pilar. Failing health of my elderly friend has made it difficult and now impossible for him to walk and feed the dogs twice/day. Well, as a regular performer at this venue, I can certainly speak for myself and others....we WISH the funds had been focused on sound, lighting, air ventilation/air conditioning, acoustics, etc. While the brick work may be lovely, it does absolutely nothing for the quality of the performances. We can only hope for a more professional experience for performers and audiences along with the incredible brick work noted on the exterior of the structure. Val Jones

It's scripted as the History of Dance with dynamic dance numbers and wonderful singers to take you on a 2 hour journey. We are performing starting tomorrow (Wednesday/Thursday/Friday) at 4pm at Club Exotica which is a great space just behind the popular Ajijic Plaza restaurant, El Jardin. You can purchase tickets at the door for General Admission ($450 pesos) and enjoy a table for 4 on the main level or opt for VIP seating in the Balcony for $750 pesos. This includes champagne and truffles along with bar service throughout the show. All profits go to the School for Special Needs Children in Joco and The Turning Pointe Project. GREAT show at BRAVO Theatre!!! Don't miss it! Still have Sunday at 4, Thursday and Friday at 7:30 and again Saturday and Sunday at 4. We went last night and it's one of the best shows we've seen lakeside in many years. Surely most of us are familiar with "Gone With the Wind" and this playwright takes it from there. It's hilarious to see Ken Y. acting as Scarlet and Prissy, Fred Koesling as Rhett Butler, Randy Warren as the conscientious playwright and the talented lady who played the Secretary for Mr. Selznick. I can just imagine what must have happened during those 5 days while the screenplay was being re-written. These 4 actors bring it ALL to life with fun antics, great dialogue, wonderful acting and a terrific set. It's GREAT fun, perfectly cast, well acted and guaranteed to provide 2 hours of FANTASTIC entertainment. I encourage you to check out this wonderful production before it's gone. Hey, if there's enough demand, perhaps BRAVO! will extend the run one more week. I realize there's competition with LLT's "12th Night" and our own "Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance" productions. This BRAVO show is a MUST SEE!

Many thanks to those who have clarified the legality of Mr. Wilder's Civil Law Notarizations and RON (Remote-Online-Notary) options for Ex-Pats living outside of the U.S. I know in the past there have been some U.S. Notaries who have "notarized" documents but as pointed out earlier, these are not legal and would not hold up under scrutiny. Quite confident our RFC is legit. Have filed homeowner's and personal health insurance claims using the numbers. Just seems we weren't aware that a password was issued with the RFC number many years ago. ARGH! Thanks for the input, everyone. Val.

Our RFC's are definitely accurate and correct. I have learned that apparently we were given a password/contraseña with it at the time but that was long ago, LOL. With the valid RFC and password, I should be able to do this from home using the link provided. Unfortunately, I have no idea where the password may be. So.....since I'm under 60 years of age, I'm being told I do require an appointment. I'm interested in checking out the Ocotlan office, though. It sounds like with or without an appointment, it should be pretty quick and easy so long as I have all of the requested documents to obtain this elusive "password." Need to get our Constancia Fiscal from one of the SAT offices in GDL. Has anyone had personal experience with either location, recently? If so, can you please share your recommendation? I have the documents needed and will call for an appointment, was hoping to hear from someone who's been there to accomplish this task before calling the office that may be most efficient. Recently saw a gorgeous pool that was done with a pool liner instead of tiles. We need to remove our current old tiles, put fresh cement and either new tiles or possibly this pool liner option. Although I love my 2021 iMac, I don't love that it is no longer compatible with the Apple external DVD/CD drive. I have one particular DVD that runs 2 hours that I need to get over to the newer iMac. Been dealing with Apple technicians for a couple of days now but it's getting pretty frustrating. Does anyone know if someone, locally, has the ability to take this DVD and copy the 2 hour video onto a thumb drive? If so, please share their contact information. Thanks in advance. Val Jones

This problem continues to plague certain areas. My dear friend (Canadian) is there now trying to assist a friend who is suffering from some pretty serious health issues. She and I have had tremendous difficulty with communication using her iPhone and iPad the last few weeks. The service has been spotty and quite unreliable. This wasn't the problem when she arrived so it seems that whatever issues are happening there do have something to do with this current problem. Hopefully it will all be resolved quickly and fully. I thought the same. After calls late last night and first thing this morning, still no success. Finally, about 4 pm, I called again and the technician on the line did say the problem with CFE had been resolved and parts of Ajijic were back on-line. He did some trouble-shooting with me but no success. Happy to receive a call from a cheerful young lady asking if tomorrow morning at 10 am would be good for us to have an iLox technician visit our home. Will/would be great to have both TotalPlay and iLox available in the event one has an outage, we'll still have service. Salud, Val.

Talked with 3 technicians yesterday (Monday) about 1:15 pm, they said they repaired the iLox problem and were waiting for CFE to return electricity to the affected area. I called iLox last night and was told the same thing and it would be up in an hour, jajajaja! Still out....... Grateful we contracted with TotalPlay on Friday due to the previous iLox outage they also blamed on CFE. I don't doubt CFE could be the culprit but someone in management with iLox really needs to work with CFE management to put a stop to this nonsense. Salud! Val Jones
