WANTED – DOG OR PUPPY!  I am a solo active woman living in Ajijic. I am interested in a male dog prefer already house broken/BUT PUPPY WILL DO, BUT CANNOT GET BIGGER THAn 10 POUNDS.  PREFER MALE but would consider FEMALE

    1- Under 10 pounds!

2- Hopefully already house trained but ……

    3- no shedding/low maintenance

    4- little barking

5- loving (Love will be returned 10 times more!)

I am looking into YORKIES (BEST)but mixed breeds of Shih Tzu, Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Havanese, Maltese will do.

I am looking for a CUTE dog, but beauty of course, is in the eyes of the beholder. I am older and have been diagnosed with PTSD, so this would be an emotional support dog as well. His or her job is to love me. I have SO much to return.  I CAN BE FLEXIBLE except for the size, shedding & pug nose.

IF YOU CAN PUT ME WITH A BREEDER, OK- I WILL GO THAT ROUTE!!!!!!IT IS LONELY WITHOUT A FUR FRIEND!- mate..

I live in house I own on a privada in Ajijic with a walled in grass play area- plenty of room for a small dog in a small yard.  I can also have a doggy door made. I cannot have a dog with a pug nose as I may fly with it (my daughter in airline industry).

In the past have been here in rentals not allowing dogs, & now I have my own place.  Now is the time.I DO NOT HAVE A CAR. I would have a friend or driver take me to you if you want to introduce me to any dogs.

There is a very active rescue community here.  I suggest you turn to Facebook to spread the word.  The sites I would start with are Lakeside Advocates for Animals and Bone Voyage.  The more of us that are aware of your search, the more likely you will find the right dog.

Anyone headed to Lorado, or know anyone who would be willing to drive there and back for a fee? I need to get my mom's small dog from US to Ajijic. I'm in St. Petersburg, Florida, and thought I could send her via cargo, but American and AeroMexico won't do that right now. There are companies that will drive her from Florida to Lorado, TX, or other US cities, but not into Mexico. I'd do it myself, but I have neck issues and driving is what really aggravates them. If you can think of other options, I am open to ideas. The best I can think of now is to fly down with her and back, but that means being on 4 planes, and $$$.

Depending on the timing I think I have someone to help.  Please send an email to coppolaryan@aol.com

  3. Can't talk about water and electricity but have been there several times recently.  The indigenous people are still commandeering the lot.  It is quite a problem as people seem to be leaving cars when going long term.  The result is bedlam with most spots taken and cars illegally parked causing more tumult.  If I were going on a trip. I would take a taxi.

BMH I know you didn't grow up in the U.S., so you might not know about this classic bout of juvenile behavior. The idea is to place dog poo in a paper sack, leave on the offender's doorstep, light it with lighter fluid, ring the doorbell, then watch from a safe distance while the offender tries to stomp out the fire.

Then there is probably an urban legend, that the offender was not home and the whole house burnt down. If true, the kid is probably still paying that one off.

As kids my husband and his buddies did this on Halloween.

CBD oil is working fantastically for my + 14 year old doggie ( bone spurs/arthritis/spondylosis ).  It might have a very small amount of THC in it...., which actually makes it work a lot better ( reading about it, I was also reluctant at first, but not anymore ).   I tried the completely THC free one ( from the US and organic ), and it didnt do a thing.

    Conventional painkillers didnt work.

Furthermore, I dont trust the local ( Lakeside ) stuff.

Ofcourse, everything in strict moderation, and step by step.

I honestly believe, that without it, I wouldnt have her with me today.  So nice to see her happy, relaxed and pain free

Where do you buy it if not Lakeside?

@nothernewbie thanks for the tip!  I find both those markets too crowded, but will try next Monday and see if I can find a parking spot.

They are awfully crowded. The Monday market is a little less fussy about letting people in early. Perhaps if you get there before 10 or at the tail end of the time it will be easier to maneuver.

My dog also scratches a bit much and it varies with what I feed her somewhat.

Speaking of fleas and vets. Is there a vet who sells Revolution flea-tick-heartworm skin applied medication for 10 pound size dogs? Last time I bought it I had to get over size and dispense half, which was difficult. Also, is there a decent vet, who actually examines the dog during a visit? Vitals, teeth, etc?

In answer to your question, Hector Ladron. He has all the equipment and is the best diagnostician I have come across either for animals or humans.
