  1. As much as this concept has been discussed here on this Board, I am really surprised there are still people that are not aware of the process or do not understand it. Go figure !
  2. Why would you pay that??? I pay zero fees, as most people lakeside do. If you pay those fees, either you have money to throw away, or you have not done your homework before coming here.
  3. Looks like a possible cheese "knockoff" or counterfeit cheese. Looks very similar, but it might not be the real thingy ! I doubt the real one would have a "typo".
  4. Safe to one person is not always the same to another. A LOT depends on your Common Sense. Lots of new people coming to Mexico don't have any.
  5. There is a tax that should be paid when you cross to the US side. That is one of the things you should declare. Failure to declare and found upon inspection will cause big problems. Your decision.
  6. He is playing with you. You are wasting your time with him.
  7. You make every effort to make this simple process extremely difficult. Just do what Mostly tells you and don't be such a cry baby. Just follow what he says to the letter. GEEZ, Louise !!!
  8. We like the Chapala American Legion for breakfast.
  9. Mr. Google is your best friend to answer that. Just sayin' !
  10. That is right. Notice it does NOT say it is in their house and has comida casera a HOME cooked meal. In Chapala, the 2 that come quickly to mind in the Plaza are "La Fonda" and "Jose's Place". Both are Fondas, but they are not in their houses, nor is the meal cooked in their house (a home cooked meal). Get it yet? (food cooked in their house)
  11. My wife, Mexican, says they are restaurants that serve Comide Casera. Just a restaurant that serves a home cooked meal.
  12. Fonda is usually a place, separate from the house, that is a family operated restaurant. There are Fondas in the plaza in Chapala.
  13. I would think you would get the best answer to that question by calling them yourself and asking them directly. Just sayin'.
  14. Sounds like what happened to one of my cats NOB about 2 years ago. To take care of the abscess, give antibiotics, it cost almost $300 USD. Maybe that is about right . I remember telling my wife that we could buy a lot of cats for that money.
  15. Actually, I believe I had just simple "trigger finger" so my solution will not benefit you. Sorry and good luck.
  16. I was lucky, as a steroid shot took care of mine. (NOB) The doctor said I might need 2 shots, but just before I was starting to consider the second shot, it released.
  17. why don't you go to their office and ask?
  18. I buy mine in the Pharmacy section of large Supermarkets. Have to ask where it is, as they tend to "hide" it. About 22 pesos a gallon.
  19. I don't have anymore time to waste here. Fear and Ignorance do not live at My House !
  20. If you "breeze through a market unmasked" that is your decision and Not Mine. I am not responsible for your actions nor can I control them. I can, however, control what I do and how I protect myself. I cannot put blame on someone else if I were to get ill in that situation, because the reason I became ill was because I did Not do everything that I needed to do to keep myself safe. If you want to blame someone else for your failings, I have no control over that, but I find that relates to not accepting the responsibility for one's own actions, and Heaven knows that our current World is eat up with that type of thinking. Fear and Ignorance do not live at My House.
  21. We are Not all in this together. Everyone is responsible for their own health/lives. No one is responsible for the health/lives of others, Unless you are their guardian/parent/protector. You can try to blame your lack of preparation on others, but to me, "that dog just don't hunt". Fear and Ignorance are good buddies. They don't live in my house.
  22. One thing for sure that we have known from the "get go": this virus is with us forever, just like the Flu is with us forever. If you have been "waiting" for it to "go away", you will not live that long. So, learn what YOU need to do to protect Yourself. That is YOUR responsibility.
  23. They all will need that third "booster" eventually. Moderna says they believe theirs will be ready for this Fall. They both speculate that you will need a new "shot" every year, just like for the Flu. The good news is that Pfizer hopes to have their "pill" ready at the end of this year to treat the virus "at home", if you catch it early.
