  1. Like I mentioned above, it doesn't work for me unless I specifically select "topics" , nothing in "everywhere" or "this forum" So I think a general rule for searching this forum is to not just hit enter when searching, select "topics" first and if this is true, then there should probably be a sticky ( read this before searching )
  2. Well I just searched " Cannabidoil ".....nothing in "everywhere", nothing in "this forum", but then it worked in "topics" odd search engine Thanks
  3. I remember seeing a thread not too long ago about sources for high quality CBD oil, but a search for "CBD" yields nothing (why??) I think there was a website link for mail order oils....
  4. Just had a basic CT scan done for my father at the new SAT hospital. No appointment, no waiting, no paperwork, friendly helpful people, ...2200 peso out the door. Try that in another country...
  5. If buying on price alone is a high priority, then there is a high probability you will find out just why you got such a good deal....IMO So many potential "gotchas" here....and with no disclosures, it's a minefield and realtors gladly supply you with rose tinted glasses.
  6. What exactly does the US Customs do in the exportation process ? I ask because I am interested in a car that has been imported which I might want to drive into the US. If I get pulled over and the officer does a VIN check, will there be a problem even though it will have legal Mexican plates ? I heard once that exported cars might be labeled as "stolen"... which would obviously be a problem.
  7. Is it online begging if you were to mention to those five heirs that I would be happy to inherit those houses off their hands for minimal expense on their part ?
  8. Three weeks ago my father of 87 had a triple hernia operation in Guadalajara. Total cost for everything/everyone was only 51,000 pesos thanks to the connections of our local general doctor Dra. Carla Cueva Flores.
  9. There is also lots grappling and verbal Jiu Jitsu on this forum Are you ready to rrummble ?
  10. Driving on the libramiento towards the lake there is a billboard for a palapa roof contractor on the right side of the road.
  11. No we didn't see them. Just looked at a Google Earth view and there are open farm fields but not a proliferation of green houses.
  12. We were there in April and drove all around the lake and did not see this proliferation of white plastic. Maybe it was the time of the year. It still looks very unspoiled to us.
  13. I'm pretty sure you can watch it at "Wings" located in the plaza at the libramiento intersection.
  14. Leave them on your cub and they will be either sold for scrap, repaired and re-used, or repurposed. Not much goes to waste here. My trash cans are always being fished through.
  15. Not a good idea to call authorities on your Mexican neighbors as a general rule... Better to offer removal of whatever they are burning at your expense, just ask nicely and say it is because of your "allergies"
  16. Walking/hiking, swimming, star gazing and you can rent kayaks there as well. Patzcuaro is close enough for a shopping/lunch day trip , nice drive too.
  17. Zirahuen ,Michoacan. Beautiful small volcanic lake with lots of cabin rentals all around it. Peaceful , quiet and crystal clear air. Amazing firefly show every evening during the rainy season.
  18. Thanks What determines the rate tier ? How much electricity was used over a certain period ?
  19. Some American travelers who are driving all through south America report excellent service.
  20. I currently have a single 110V meter, but I may want to change to a single 220v meter because of a pump and A/C. When I was at CFE I asked if the cost of electricity would be higher, they said no but I'm skeptical. My mexican electrician mention I might be charged a commercial rate. Anyone know more about this ? Thanks
