  1. Dawn Powerwash (spray) is available at Walmart - there were only 2 bottles left and I bought one of them. I haven't tried it yet but the reviews online say it works well.
  2. I think your conversion rate to US dollars is outdated ... I get that 24.31 pesos is $1.40 US at today's rate?
  3. Thanks for posting this. My radar went up when I saw it and was going to check it out with snopes but you beat me to it. I find the times we are living in to be vey dangerous because so much false information is being disseminated and people won't know what is truth unless it becomes a habit to fact check. A questionable image being revealed as fake is important to a mindset we should be cultivating - checking and backing up our thinking with facts. It is not about this particular image or feel good story - it's about being told stories and accepting them as reality. It's on a joke and humour page so maybe it's not to be taken seriously but it isn't a funny story - it is a contrived way of manipulating people's feelings.
  4. I agree. Absolutely THE BEST = Go Solar, STI in my experience
  5. I am in Canada right now and the air quality has been severely affected by the fires. I have never known anything like it. The sun is red and the atmosphere feels like we're in a Sci-Fi movie ... really weird to be having conditions like these, never before experienced - the world is not the world I was lucky enough to have grown up in
  6. Oh sure - of course - stay driving for as long as you can whether you're competent or not? I would hope someone would advise me, if I were driving and a danger to others (and myself) - I would really like to know. If we can pass the test, great. If not, time to stop driving a killing machine - we have a wonderful bike lane and electric bikes are easy to find - plus: we have trains and planes and taxis
  7. Another vote for Intercam. I have been with them for 8 years, after closing Actinver and Multiva accounts which didn't work very well for me. I still have my Bancomer account - it's OK, but it's the Intercam one I use most and find superior - they have parking, location convenient for me & English speakers as well.
  8. Thanks for this - that's what I needed to know .... do I do this at Guadalajara airport or Mexico City which will be the actual point of departure from the country or does it matter?
  9. I have a permanente and would also like to know ... what is the latest (April 2023) procedure when flying out of Guadalajara, stopover in Mexico City and on to Canada? Do I go to immigration at all? If so, in Guadalajara or in Mexico City?
  10. Works for me on Safari but error message on Chrome - try another browser
  11. Brewer's Yeast is not Nutritional Yeast
  12. As soon as you use your Canadian cell phone number when in Mexico, you are charged $14.00 a day as a daily rate - even with "roaming" turned off. Even if you are just receiving a text with a code to verify an account - no way around it and it is, as far as I know, a universal policy with all the companies offering cell phone plans in Canada. This policy is a fairly new and certainly has caught many people I know unawares. There is an upside to it - like if you want to pay the $14.00, I think you get some benefits if you need your phone all day for Canadian texts but I haven't investigated so not sure how it works - just sharing my own experience.
  13. Whoa! Interesting reactions from some people. I have no connection to any of the posters in this thread and read the "rude" comment as just someone trying to say that what suits someone perfectly might be totally wrong for someone else. I thought her list of what one might want to consider, especially for someone who doesn't know lakeside, to be very useful. There are many things we, who have been here a while, will consider but a newcomer to the area wouldn't know to ask
  14. Another vote for Veronica at Integra . She's great.
  15. Here's the link to make an appointment https://citas.jalisco.gob.mx/transporte/client/locationList.
