  1. OK enough snark. This is not TOB. Nicolas you really need to get this information from your fracc office. Maybe your geologist friend could contact them directly and offer assistance. If the casing has failed or the pump and piping are stuck fast down hole (usually due to casing collapse), it is very likely the well has/had to be abandoned. It takes specialized tools and expertise to get broken pipe out of a well. And casing failure is almost always fatal unless really close to the surface. Older wells used metal casing which rots out after so many years. New water wells that are not mega deep can use a very heavy PVC casing which has a very long life.
  2. Well, I believe this was part of the recent Omar O'Rourke shut down and arrest and also they had a critical ruling go against them on use of the facilities of the existing building, namely the pool, gym and clubhouse facilities. As it stands now, Radisson buyers have no access to these. This has all been reported in recent weeks. I recall the people who had O'Rourke arrested are the investors in Radisson. And the sales office has been shut down by the government I believe. So we'll see with both. Agree with your comment about underfunded and I'd add badly managed to the mix. Given how we are all aging I would have thought there would be a market for a La Pueblita. But a project of that magnitude, far larger than the Radisson building, requires a tremendous amount of up front funding and patience to reach the payout and profit level. I'm skeptical of that incredibly ugly thing next to Coca Cola too.
  3. Lived here for almost 15 years. A period in August with no rain is not uncommon in my recollection. Both June and July were wetter than average. Much cloudier than I recall as usual, however.
  4. Wow. That will be one big white elephant to recycle. Now we have two. The Radisson is the other.
  5. The Feria will be resuming this year and they are still looking for hosts for the artists. We've been doing this for years and it has been just wonderful. The Feria is devoted to preserving Mexican art forms and offers top artisans an opportunity to show and sell their work all expenses paid. Contact Brenda at quierobrenda@gmail.com or phone at 332 348 9514. Hosts get free admission to the show every day.
  6. Lots of furniture on the Chapala marketplace pages of Facebook.
  7. Not sure why upholstery is even coming up here, the OP wants some pants altered. For upholstery the guy in Chapala just before the train station is excellent.
  8. Very easy to check directly. Contact GoSolar on this board. We have one of their systems and it has been excellent for 3 years. Had one problem with a micro inverter not reporting correctly and it was promptly taken care of. STI doesn't move around or change hands. They are excellent engineers and electricians. I recommend them highly.
  9. Dollar under 20 pesos again this morning. Has been so for a couple days I believe.
  10. There's so much sniping in that thread who knows what seamstress and where they are we are talking about? Why not just post that information? Is the one I posted about still in that location or not? I had work done there in mid May by the lady there, it was done perfectly, on time, at very reasonable cost.
  11. I used this person: Located one half block EAST of Colon on Constitucion. South side of street, small sign with sewing machine over the door. She did a fantastic job altering a pair of pants for me. Don't go before 10 AM
  12. Hit the edit button on your first post. You can edit the title there.
  13. Yep. Bear in mind you cannot use U.S. CC to pay on line, have to go pay at a bank, or Oxxo et. al. Wife got hers renewed yesterday, took about a half hour at 10:30 in the morning.
  14. Our facilitator says no problem, test not needed. Covid is good for something.
  15. How long with an expired D.L. before they make you take the test again? I do have a current TX license. Thanks
  16. Does he have tools or does he use yours? What is his rate?
  17. Just a short outage here in SE Ajijic. That was a severe storm. We have much more reliable power than we used to. Thanks. CFE.
  18. I've found the local buy/sell sites on FaceBook to be much better for finding or selling stuff. https://www.facebook.com/groups/785666514831385/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/158641578074790/?ref=bookmarks
  19. All this morning rain and clouds getting boring. We are well above averages at this point.
