  2. Was there an extra "roaming" charge for calling back to the USA or Canada and did it include data on your phone, for email messages etc. ? ? ?
  3. Has anyone used their TelCel SIM card in Europe ?
  4. There is an electronic repair shop in San Juan Cosala that works miracles on TV's, stereos etc. After you enter town from Ajijic, continue to the first traffic light. Just past the light is a long white wall with a huge microwave tower behind it. At the far (west) end of the white wall is a shop with a blue awning. The shop is called "Teleservicios Calvario". Don't let the picture discourage you..... Great service and very reasonable
  5. Good point John..... I never realized that. I just tried it by having both my and my wife's cell phone logged on with the MagicJack App and dialled my MJ number (Toronto). Only one phone rang. Interesting that my MJ regular phone also rang tho.....
  6. I have a Simplii Financial bank account ( https://www.simplii.com/en/home.html) in Canada and quite often they have to verify my identity to do something. Even last nite they required a verification and they called my MagicJack Toronto number with a computer voice number to enter on their web page. Easy Peasey.... Now.... Computer Guy - I don't have a VPN but wonder if MJ would work if I did since it is an VOIP system. Just curious.
  7. Glad to hear they are back and sounds like "better than ever". Would love to know what's on the "Sunday buffet".
  8. Several years ago I had an GM Astro van that had a problem. The automatic sliding rear passenger door would occasionally almost close but suddenly slide open again. The GM dealer in Oshawa Ont. couldn't fix it and called in a "specialist" from Flint Michigan. He couldn't either. We drove it down here that winter and Jaime fixed it in an hour. Nuff said !
  9. I'd suggest that you talk to Roberto (Beto) at Hernandez - right beside Tony's. Get directions to Roberto's brother's auto electric shop in Chapala... near the train station. If it's electrical... Jaime can fix it. He speaks English....
  10. When we took the double decker a couple of years ago, you had your choice of earphones in English or Spanish. If you sit up top - open air - wear a hat !
  11. If they know where all of their "boxes/receivers" are..... Why are we still connected?
  12. This is a picture I took at the 2017 Chili Cook-off. Sorry I didn't get the name of the vendor in the photo.
  13. I guess that is why the INM is having information sessions - to inform us ExPats of the proper procedures for exiting and entering the country. They were pretty clear at yesterday's session.
  14. has not set their status
