Our team continues to grow each day. We'd like to welcome Dr. Claudia Plancarte.

• Graduate of University of Guadalajara 
• Specialized in Geriatrics and Palliative Care at the University of Guadalajara and University of Barcelona, Spain. 
• Board certified by the Mexican Counsel of Geriatrics and is a member of the National College of Geriatric Medicine. 
• Provides care to patients in our medical offices, home visits and nursing homes.

She will be working closely with the current CHAPALA MED team of physicians on cases that require her level of expertise.

Her consults are the most comprehensive I've seen and encompass everything from nutrition, exercise, fall-proofing a home and avoiding poly-pharmacology.

Empathetic and great bedside manner. 

We will be doing  these therapies starting next month at our office in Ajijic. Not only for knees but for many other applications such as facial rejuvenation and diabetes.

"Functional Medicine" is not recognized as a medical specialty by the SEP ( Mexico's Dept. of Education).  There are no "FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE" specialists in the area as far as I know but there are some whom say they practice "Functional Medicine".  You can read about my research and experiences with this type of medicine  at the following link:

Thank you for the link. But there is no EVIDENCE BASED/Allopathic Medical literature according to my latest search.

There is no such condition in any medical text book such as Robbin's or the Merk or any of my Endocrinology books from Medical school.

I haven't heard of any condition/disease by this name.
I think that an ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE PRACTITIONER would be able to handle "ADRENAL FATIGUE".

Adrenal fatigue or hypoadrenia are terms used in alternative medicine to describe the unproven theory that the adrenal glands are exhausted and unable to produce adequate quantities of hormones, primarily the glucocorticoid cortisol. I have a great Ortho whom I refer to and is part of my network of Specialists. I oversee the entire process and ensure that you get the needed post-surgical care from the surgeon, PT and any other specialists that may be needed. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the knee.

Lisinopril is available.

I'd recommend you get the name brand if you are planning on buying it in Mexico. It's been my experience that the "Generics/Similars" are not as efficacious as the name brand meds.

In the end, it could end up costing you a whole lot more if you don't keep your Blood Pressure under control as your doctor recommends you do.
