  1. Del Valle make a 100% juice from concentrate; just juice listed in the ingredients. Similar to this box , but it's pricey $20+/ltr; We only use it when the oranges at the market are crap ie. little or no juice and the per kilo price is high.
  2. So, took me 1/2 hr total time to drive to Poli Acero across from Pancho's Deli; pick the thickness (Cal 30), pay, have it loaded into my car and back home; for about 1/6th the cost of mercadolibre. I have a grinder so cutting it isn't a problem. Comes in a sheet 36" wide by 10' long. Lots of different thickness available.
  3. FYI, Home Depot Iteso has Z flashing but nothing else. Now to try at the aceros.
  4. We plan on using Fester FT 101 (which is an adhesive and a waterproof sealer) between the wall and the flashing, screws and then likely run a bead along the top edge as nothing is ever perfectly flat. It's also paintable which is good.
  5. Thanks guys I'll be off to Home despot (yeah I know I spelt it wrong) and let you know the outcome. Armed with pictures and words.
  6. Need some galvanized metal flashing. About 10-12" wide. About 25' long; I know I can buy it in rolls NOB. Not even sure what to call it in spanish as I don't think flashing is used very much here.
  7. Under the topic Let's Talk About our Furry and Feathered Friends there is the information you need - REPORT LAKESIDE ANIMAL ABUSE It's a couple years old but the number should still work. you could take it a pail of water.
  8. There are rental companies lakeside so you might find a better deal here such as Antonio Regalado - R&R New and Used Cars and Car Solutions on Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Car-Dealership/RR-New-and-Used-Cars-and-Car-Solutions-294754600930898/ Linea Professional - http://lprentacar.com/
  9. Yes you mean buy a mx plated vehicle and register with a temporal status - yes
  10. Youngtimer - Can one obtain a Jalisco drivers license with a temporal residency? yes And how about a Mexican plated vehicle with a temporal, thanks? you mean buy and register with a temporal status - yes Ok I will ask Spenser when he calls. A search turned up no answer.
  11. If you search for "Sandoval" you will find posts with responses regarding him.
  12. Yes if you drive a truck you need a Chofer license. Friends just got their licenses and needed to get Chofer as they have a pickup truck.
  13. shouldn't have to, I did ours on line; however that was a few years ago; format should be first 2 initials from last name, first 2 initials from first name, birthdate (yy/mm/dd), letter, 2 numbers; just went on line a few weeks ago and got the new format RFC (color with your picture on it). Maybe their system has a glitch (which happens), all I can say is try again in a day or two.
  14. Yep Dr. Jorge Gonzalez - knees, hips and shoulders are the majority of his practice. AND to quote "Albert Einstein: The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results" however in this case asking the same question
  15. Think of it like a tax number; you need an RFC if you want to get a factura - if you incur medical expenses and want to make an insurance claim you need facturas (official receipts not a till receipt). If you obtained your Status card recently check the card, you may already have been issued an RFC #; You will need a CURP # to use the website. The URL is https://www.sat.gob.mx/tramites/operacion/28753/obten-tu-rfc-con-la-clave-unica-de-registro-de-poblacion-(curp)
  16. We have used Dr. Jorge Gonzalez for several procedures and are pleased with his attentiveness and follow-up. He has always given us the choice of which facility to use in GDL and has been fairly accurate when asked about costs. His says his plan is to be available here 4 days per week, with 2 of those days being surgery days. It will be so nice not to do that 1+ hr drive to/from GDL for surgical procedures.
  17. It may be an animal product but I think this is in the wrong section.
  18. The hours at the recuadora in Chapala is 8:30 to 2:30.
  19. Each of us who have seen an orthopedist will have our own recommendations. It will be up to you to decide who is BEST for you. Personally we like Jorge Gonzalez Uruza and as he is one of the doctors at Hospital San Antonio AND it means no traveling to GDL to have surgery. I believe knees, hips and shoulders are the majority of his practice.
  20. Closed - in that you have to join or Closed - shut down it is an active group; things were posted today. https://www.facebook.com/groups/162232371120589/
  21. Have you tried Lake Chapala Mule Service on FB?
  22. Don't know about that, Ray sold his house in the frac a number of months ago and I believe his other place is rented.
  23. Dr. Justina Jimenez in West Ajijic, down from Dental Express has worked with lots of rotator and shoulder surgeries; Note she is a doctor as well as a physical therapist and her staff are great. 766 5563
  24. We got our Jalisco licenses in Feb of 2017; 10 multiple choice questions in english (mostly signs/pics) Luzma provides a study sheet; if your current license has not expired no driving was required; each type requires different physical license - car, truck/chauffeur here, motorcycle (and separate costs for each); over 60 licensees were 1/2 price; and Luzma asks if you can jump the que, especially if you are over 60. Luzma will also tell you what you need, # of copies and will prevet them before you leave. If you think lines for gasoline are long, you ain't seen nothing. Now some of this may have changed with the new government but for the most part it should be good ....
  25. Geeser, a little late don't ya think ; the date on the question is, wait for it ...... January 17, 2013.
