  1. U.S. Voter Assistance Democrats Abroad will return to LCS to assist voters with making applications for ballots on Tuesdays, beginning August 7 on the Blue Umbrella Patio from 10AM- 12PM. (NOTE: This is a change in a beginning date)

The Lake Chapala Society invites you to attend their annual Tequila Tasting on May 26 from 2.30 to 5 pm. 2 1/2 yrs of Unlimited Tequila tasting accompanied by appetizers which are included in the price of admission. LCS members 150 MXN, Non Members 180 MXN and 200 MXN on the day of the event. Tequila can be purchased to consume on the grounds or to take home. Credit cards are accepted.

  8. Lake Chapala Society (LCS), Ajijic, announces its next round of Introduction to Spanish language classes for LCS members. This is a casual class offered for the beginner that covers the Spanish alphabet, simple vocabulary and phrases to use about town for shopping, and other useful information about our area and Mexican culture. Classes are held each month starting the first Tuesday of the month and continue for three weeks. April classes will start on Tuesday April 3 and will be held at the LCS campus from 12:00 until 1:30 PM and another class at 2:00 to 3:30. Learning materials are provided, and the tuition for the classes is $220 . You must be a member of LCS and your membership must be current through the duration of the classes.   13. LAKE CHAPALA SOCIETY WARREN HARDY SPANISH CLASSES Lake Chapala Society (LCS), Ajijic, announces the start of their next term of Spanish language classes for LCS members. Classes will begin on Monday, March 5 and continue through April 30. Classes meet two days a week for an hour and a half each session at the Wilkes Education Center (Biblioteca) in Ajijic. Students must be members of LCS for the duration of the class. The LCS Spanish program uses the Warren Hardy Spanish language course which is designed for the adult student. Several levels of instruction are available as students progress in the program. Registration for the upcoming classes is underway at the LCS office or on line. The Program Manager will be available to answer questions and take registrations every day during the week of February 26 to March 2 from 10:30 to 1:30 at LCS on the blue umbrella patio. The tuition for the course is $900 pesos. The course textbook is an additional $670 pesos, and other instructional materials may also be separately purchased.   15. The U.S. Consulate advises they will be lakeside EVERY SECOND WEDNESDAY except December which is to be determined as that is a Mexican holiday. So they will be here the 14th. and NOT the 20th as previously announced.
