It makes me very sad to continually read these posts. Everyone on our planet is under a great deal of stress. We, the retired ones are the lucky ones, we don't have to go to work, we don't have to deal with young children at home and wonder about their safety retuning to school this fall. Do you think everyone on this board could show a little love and concern for our fellow man instead of the constant insults, opinions etc. Come on people, time to grow up and try to comfort those amongst us who have serious health issues and may just be terrified for their lives. If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. You have no idea who you may be hurting. Wear a mask, it won't kill you. It just might save somebody else's life.

This thumb size bugs are eating the leaves on our Raintree. Alot of them. They can fly. Thinking some sort of locus. Appears like armor on its underside.

Does anyone know why we are hearing so many trucks coming into town on the main highway into Lakeside using their Jake Brakes? It starts at 5 am and goes on all-day into the evening. It seems to us that there is so much more truck traffic coming into our community. Can anything be done about this? Any ideas would-be appreciated. I can only imagine that the hotel across from Chapala Haciendas is fed up. Alot of residents in Brisas and Haciendas are about crazy with the constant blaring of these Jake Brakes. How about our Chapala Expat Liason? We need help.

Extremely expensive compared to here. Costa Rica is extremely clean, they take great pride in their country and everyone seems to respect the environment. We were shocked at the restaurant prices, wine etc is all very expensive. Very very hot and always humid. People are friendly.

You go to read a thread of interest and all you get is a bunch of squabbling children with a heavy dose of US politics thrown in Moderators, can you give the Americans on this board their own area to gripe and talk about their US politics please. Have received 4 Amazon deliveries over last two weeks. Each time driver wore his mask, set my packages down, wished me a nice day and always stayed well beyond 6 feet from our gate. I was very impressed.
