I'm curious, bdmowers. I knew you would change your post, but how did you get rid of my post, which should only have been accessible by me. That's why there are passwords.
What? I know something you don`t about the board?? Well, now, if I tell you then you`ll have all the power! OK I`ll give you a pretty big hint - there a button at the top starting with the word "Moderation". But, usually, this is a secret I only tell the Initiated!

Where to get small cans of wood stain - pint or half pint? Thanks.

Does anyone know of someone who will transfer from cassette to mp3?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a dentist in the town of Chapala (not Riberas or Ajijic)? Fernando Ochoa seems to be out of the game and Alberto Cuevas is a bit far away. Looking for someone in Centro. Gracias.

I saw it at Walmart Thursday or Friday.
I hope you grabbed it if you wanted it, since things at Walmart disappear so quickly, never to be seen again.

Has anyone seen wormwood and/or cloves in capsule or pill form in the lakeside area? Thanks.

Just saw it at Pancho's new store.
Yes, found it there, along with a coconut version, which I bought. Thanks again.

It seems that the government has assured us that the Tepalo is safe for the moment.
In the process of looking into Tepalo many other irregularities have come to light. La Pueblita was denied the permits needed to build because of the lack of studies of how it would impact the environment .....but construction has begun.
The group’s purpose is changing into not just shielding El Tepalo but the entire Ajijic mountainside and lake from illegal construction which will have s negative impact on our way of life.
an environmental lawyer from Mexico City will be coming to explain how we can legally protect our green spaces and what steps we can take as a community
Will these meeting(s) be available to residents? I would be interested in attending.

It is invading our lower field now, just going under the rock wall.Have a lot of big Carpa now to fish for right in our back yard
Wouldn`t recommend eating, a gov`t study shows contains mercury and is possibly why villages east of Mescala have many people with kidney failures.
Mercury concentrations in common carp (Cyprinus carpio) in Lake Chapala, Mexico: a lakewide survey. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24007438 and https://www.science.gov/topicpages/l/lake+chapala+mexico
From 2013, but the situation in the lake has not changed regarding toxic heavy metals.

Thee health supplement store beside Superlake had bottles of Stevia - hopefully they still do as I'm running out again. I got the granular Monkfruit sweetener from Amazon U.S. & had it muled in. Lakanto also has a golden/brown sweetener and a sugar-free maple syrup I'd love to get my mitts on...
Is Lakanto a store lakeside or an online store? If lakeside, where, please?

There is also comunidad agraria which holds about 17 % of the socially held land.
Also:
The lands that correspond to the indigenous groups must be protected by the authorities, under the terms of the law that regulates article 4. and the second paragraph of fraction VII of article 27 of the Constitution.

Not ejido land but partly indigenous land.
So shouldn`t that make it harder for this project to go through?

Hello SunshineyDay:
the email is fbu.guadalajara@ssa.gov.
The first thing you do is let them know what you want. I made the mistake of wanting to change address as well as remove medicare. when one thing is attached to the other, thenwhatever is lacking will hold up the process. it's because i work that it spurred me to fill more forms. when you write to them, and are processing things, do only one thing at a time, and keep it all on the same thread. you cannot break from that. in other words as you go along with them, never start a new email. i had no face to face contact. they want to do these things by email.
I am running into a second problem. I cannot make an account with "MY Social Security". This allows you to see what is going on with your account. I kept getting kicked out and i feel i put the correct mailing address and phone number that i had when i signed up. I tried to call a GDL number today, but all i got was a fax machine. Does anyone have workable numbers for the office in GDL?
I asked SS about this and was told via email:
My SSA services are currently available to US residents. We are working to provide you with this service in the international arena but at this moment you may still find some restrictions that may include issues with IP addresses. You may want to try creating a My SSA account while in the US. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please note that in order to create a My SSA account you need to have a US address and the information entered when creating your account must match with your SSA record.
In other words, you can`t make this with a computer while in Mexico. Also, having a Mexican address may be a problem in accessing My SS.
