  1. I had to go to the American Consulate in Guadalajara to get the notary there to check my name on my US passport, which was missing my second middle name, and my Mexican marriage license which had it and so did my birth certificate have it. It took a day and a letter from me with my explanation. She took my documents and added a letter stating I use two names and both are me. My legal name didn't have my second middle name and I also was know as the name with it. My "AKA". When I immigrated to the US from Canada US immigration legally dropped my second middle name but the Civil Registar in Mexico used it on our marriage license taken from my birth certificate. Back then I needed a "permiso" to marry a Mexican National from IMN. They got rid of that requirement with the 2011 Immigration Law.
  2. True. He will not be able to get them to do what he is asking for. It is the month not the year that prohibits issuing a "factura".
  3. Costco most likely needs time to reprogram the cash registers to eliminate the IVA tax on every single item that is now exempt when they are scanned. OXXO put the added taxes on cigarettes, sodas and liquor etc. on Monday the 3rd. not Sat. the 1st.
  4. Before the petroleum reform in 2013 LP gas, gasoline and diesel was regulated and rose according to law. Gasoline rose 2 centavos per month or 24 centavos per year so it took 4 years to rise 1 peso which was hardly noticable to me back then. I don't remember exactly but LP gas seemed to be almost the same price under those federal regulations. "In 2013, Mexico adopted a constitutional reform (the “Reform”) that liberalized the national energy industry. The Reform put an end to decades of State-run monopolies governing the petroleum and power industries, led by PEMEX (Petróleos Mexicanos) and the CFE (Comisión Federal de Electricidad), respectively.May 22, 2021 http://arbitrationblog.kluwerarbitration.com › ... Mexico's Efforts to Undo the 2013 Energy Reform: Substantives and ." Pemex before had 54 percent of it's revenue taken and put in the national treasury. After 2013 only 35 percent was taken. This parasitic system is why Pemex is the only, almost bankrupt, debt ridden oil company in the World. AMLO borrowed 7.5 billion US recently from the WMF and paid 4 bilion of Pemex's debt. He has sunk billons more into it's debt before this. He is sinking about 18 billion US into the Dos Bocas refinery. He cancelled petroleum reform contracts designed to upgrade refineries and boost gas production and oil extraction from the Gulf with royalites and taxes. This total bungle is costing taxpayers a fortune with zero return. Pemex's 110 billion US + or - debt might still bankrupt it. " Debt obligations Pemex is the world's most indebted oil company with a financial debt of over $110 billion, a big part of which matures after 2030, when decarbonization efforts are expected to take hold. Pemex also owes billions of dollars more in pension obligations.Oct 28, 2021 https://www.spglobal.com › oil › 10... Mexico lowers Pemex tax burden as it targets 2 mil b/d production by ..."
  5. I moved from Winnipeg to San Diego when 30. The nightime lows were colder than Calgary's back then and blizzards were not uncommon.
  6. I think you have to go in person to the Canadian Embassy in CDMX in this case.
  7. Denmark currently has one of the top infection rates in the world and the second highest Omicron rate in Europe, behind the U.K., which has similar vaccination levels and an even higher booster rate. Since arriving in Denmark in late November, Omicron has spread rapidly through the vaccinated, with infections doubling every few days. The result has been an unprecedented case surge, far outpacing last winter – before the vaccination drive began – when daily cases peaked at around 5,000. Denmark blew past that record this month, reporting 13,000 new infections on Tuesday, with a seven-day average of nearly 10,000. Daily infections are expected to reach 27,000 within days and continue climbing into January. Health minister Magnus Heunicke confirmed Tuesday that Omicron is now Denmark’s dominant strain. Danish government researchers have acknowledged that vaccination offers effectively no protection against catching Omicron, and some analyses indicate that it actually heightens the risk of contracting the variant. Experts have also warned that a sharp rise in breakthrough cases could point to “original antigenic sin,” which occurs when vaccination causes an inability to mount an effective immune reaction to a variant of a virus, resulting in worse health outcomes for the vaccinated. Infection only? No hospitalizations. No deaths. In otherwords vaccinations work very well.
  8. We bought an Orange Movil chip in Madrid for $20.00 Euros. We got a local number, 30 days of unlimit calls in the EU and 7 gigs of data. A recharge in 30 days costs $10.00 Euros. Believe me you will want both phones on when your wife/husband wanders off someplace and you need to call her/him and ask: "Where the hell are you?"
  9. We have given our maid her Chistmas bonus this Monday. It is supposed to be given to employees by about Dec. 15th. from what I understand.
  10. There were different per liter prices depending in the area of the country. For many years I paid around $6.50 per liter when I lived in Mexicali. I sold that house in early 2014. 2021 average price of LP Gas: Precio Gas LP por litro y Kg Estado Precio por kilogramo Precio por litro Aguascalientes $21.69 $11.71 Baja California $21.47 $11.59 Baja California Sur $24.03 $12.98 Campeche $22.73 $12.28 Chiapas $22.19 $11.98 Chihuahua $22.74 $12.28 Ciudad de México $21.65 $11.69 Coahuila $22.59 $12.20 Colima $24.16 $13.05 Durango $23.96 $12.94 Guanajuato $22.29 $12.04 Guerrero $23.32 $12.60 Hidalgo $21.86 $11.81 Jalisco $23.62 $12.76 México $21.30 $11.50 Michoacán $22.55 $12.18 Morelos $21.97 $11.86 Nayarit $22.74 $12.28 Nuevo León $23.33 $12.60 Oaxaca $22.02 $11.89 Puebla $21.92 $11.84 Querétaro $21.42 $11.57 Quintana Roo $21.96 $11.86 San Luis Potosí $22.61 $12.21 Sinaloa $23.58 $12.74 Sonora $22.29 $12.04 Tabasco $21.37 $11.53 Tamaulipas $22.71 $12.26 Tlaxcala $21.96 $11.86 Veracruz $22.04 $11.90 Yucatán $22.04 $11.90 Zacatecas $23.52 $12.70
  11. Gatell stated 60+ adults do not need to register online to get their booster shot. https://mexiconewsdaily.com/news/seniors-should-register-for-booster-shots/
  12. You consume quite a bit more gas in the cold months because the water in the tinaco is much colder than in the warm/hot months. Also gas almost doubled in price and with this federal government it will continue to rise in price possibly. IMO
  13. Nowhere. US Treasury checks can't be cashed in Mexico.

  15. It is for an 8 hour day. Any additional hours will be paid at the same hourly rate that they are paid for the first 8 hours and I have never heard of a higher rate for overtime.
  16. The warmer lowland areas have mosquitos after the rainy season and a more effective treatment is done when the heavy rains stop so the lying water can be treated then and not needed again after another heavy rain or two. The program is Federal government funded, state government administrated, municipal government advertized and coordinated and doesn't cost the local government a penny. Your IVA and SAT taxes pay for it.
  17. For this you should go into a Telmex office and not waste time on calling them. This will get what you need done by them writing a service order for their technician to actually do the line transfer. This is my way of getting things accomplished usually.
  18. Id_iot_ic nonsense! Get a life and stop the lunacy if at all possible!
  19. Those prices are pre-buy on the CBX website. If you pay without buying a ticket first on that website the CBX desk inside the area charges $26.00 US each way.
  20. CBX costs $26.00 US each way. A Volaris ticket plus CBX costs how much? How much without buying a CBX ticket included in the price? A simple math question. Do you save $10.00 + or - each way for the CBX ticket?
