During the wet season I won't be using the tank much anyway so it will be left full. I have no problems leaving it empty during dry season.

Yep you are right and I am wrong. I was giving total water storage on property as I have other tanks and a pond. I have corrected errors in my posts. Beware I have a huge gate and I had to take down part of the electric fence to get it into the property. Only other option was a crane. I can't imagine getting a tank with a bigger diameter onto a property or maybe it would be too wide for a truck.

Problem is you have not read anything about the vaccine we are being offered here. After much looking I found results for Sinovac. The first two studies consisted of 600 people. Pfizer had 40,000 in initial studies. Moderna had 30,000 people in initial study. Unless a study is missing they experimented on the Brazil people. Largest round underground plastic tank is 10,000 liters. Its about 8 ft diameter and 8 ft tall. Tank must be half buried (4 ft) in ground to support tank properly. (Do not ignore this or tank will collapse under pressure, Water weighs over 18,000lbs) You also need to make a foundation for the tank. I used concrete. Tanks larger than this must be made of bricks. It was a 2 ton truck that delivered the plastic tank. Anything larger probably would not fit in truck. Rolling the tank across the yard was fun. These tanks are heavy and no place to hang on. You also have to make sure you have a big enough gate to get tank onto property. Probably about the same cost to have a tank built but it would take much longer. Added a 1/2 HP pump to hose and you don't have to worry about watering plants anymore. It can also be used to fill my under driveway tank if they turn off the water for multiple days or help the neighborhood.

Oh I don't know about that. Our latest house we had a years lease and the mexican owners were so impressed with us they gave us a five year lease at a fixed price. Impress your landlord. We have had five rentals here and always had good relations with landlords both Mexican and Gringo. Show that you care. We have always been rewarded in living here 15 years by being nice and caring about the landlords house. Fix the small crap and leave your landlord alone unless its something big. We even helped pay to rebuild the roof and were rewarded with cheap rent.

The overall level of water is what it use to be underground. If you drill a well and you find water at the same level as long term wells the problem does not exist for now. I agree it will in the future but we are in pretty good shape for the time being. Go talk to the water people they know. Yes all this could and will change.

While a great solution it doesn't have to be this fancy. I keep a bucket in the shower and fill it and use it to water plants or flush toilets.

This happens every year and depending on your local wells you may or may not have problems. They have drilled new wells and found water at the expectant level so we are not in bad shape as a whole for now. Local and long term conditions are another story and time will tell. I do expect the everyday water in SAT to stop and become every other day as they try to stretch the water til the rain starts and refill the ground. Lots of plant watering this time of year in SAT which doesn't help. I put a very large storage tank (10,000 L) to avoid these problems as I have gardens, small fish pond and a lawn to deal with. Last year we had to call the trucks in but SAT has drilled a new well and added a new pump so maybe things will go smoother this year. Time will tell.
