  1. Dear Gringal: That sounds like a perfectly reasonable way of understanding the situation; it's a cultural contrast and conflict. Mudgirl, however, doesn't or won't accept or understand it. She sounds very judgmental to me, though she claims not to be making judgements at all. Others who take some apparent discomfort at the invocation of external standards, which "mudgirl" (love the dirty name;-) attribute to the Professional World (and herself) wouldn't agree, though the situation strikes an outsider as one full of insularity. I suspect that the woods down there are full of Gringos who earn pa
  2. Gringohombre: I'm not sure, but wonder if a U.S. virtual number wouldn't work. Google and you'll find some rather inexpensive ones. You could easily have this as a phone number, and have all calls ported directly to a google voice account wh
  3. There must be some calculation at server level of user status, and server load. I got a warning on 2nd search that I needed to wait "10 seconds", though yesterday when I was on, I was warned that I needed to wait "6 seconds". And that's signed in from California;-)
  4. This is a confusing message. For those seeking to donate, please verify that Dr. Pinto is no longer accepting them. Newer posts suggest that he's very active in the community and that he is accepting them.
  5. Homemade Garlic Mosquito Repellent An Internet blog suggests a “do it yourself” organic approach that some of you might want to try. Mince a few cloves of garlic, barely cover with some mineral oil. Allow these to fuse for at least 24 hours. Then mix 2 cups of water, 1 teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Strain through cheesecloth and use in a spray bottle, shaking before each use. Best of luck!
