  1. I recommend them highly too. (The new place in SAT, roughly across from El Vaquero ironwork) I got a package because I needed a wax and engine cleaning. A great job even with the cheaper liquid wax. I couldn't believe the engine. I'm used to steam cleaning like the Lake Taco place did. This place was orders of magnitude better. It looks like a new car.
  2. Keep the main number too. The recording gives you an english option right up front on the call. It's good to have because their repair on weekends is stunning compared to Telmex. They have same day repair on Sundays, for example. They also fix bills. 800 510 0510
  3. This was under the questions and answer re employers participation. ¿Qué hacer si mi empleador o empleadores no quieren pagar por mi seguridad social? Durante la prueba piloto fase II es voluntaria la incorporación.
  4. Thanks for the link. The pilot program is voluntary, so no issues about being mandatory at this point. I don't see anything that applies to a maid who has one part time job and no others. So if the employer pays into her account, what does that mean about the amount of benefits she will receive. I didn't translate the whole thing yet. Any ideas?
  5. The glasses retainers around here tend to be hand made, over priced, heavy... like made of stones or metals that give you rashes. If you want the cord types or sports types, I think Amazon is your best, or only, bet. I just checked and of course they have the glass bead types, but they are lighter. Check them out. I think you'd be best served to bite the bullet on the shipping cost. My favorite is this type https://www.amazon.com.mx/Chums-Slip-Rope-Eyewear-Retainer/dp/B00026T3VY/ref=d_pd_day0_sccl_2_11/143-5167497-5719842?pd_rd_w=QnREA&content-id=amzn1.sym.1c8f9346-a87e-48c7-994a-82c93e96af91&pf_rd_p=1c8f9346-a87e-48c7-994a-82c93e96af91&pf_rd_r=NFA6TB12SXTVBGKC9BSH&pd_rd_wg=ZruuH&pd_rd_r=4234acfb-a55d-46f6-81b8-5ff8efc29931&pd_rd_i=B003CK0IBG&th=1 But they have as many types as flavors of ice cream. And I'm sure everyone giving you advice has different tastes.
  6. I've had the rib-eye. Both times is was good. It's one of the best priced things on the menu. The service is really bad. My friend was willing to make trips to the waiter's station for more napkins and condiments. During the day it's been empty, no customers. It's a very expensive for lunch for retirees. The service is laughable. We even had to go inside to hunt down the check when we left. Maybe it will stay open. The waiter said it's busy on the weekends when I asked specifically. I didn't ask him to describe what he thought it was on a Thursday afternoon, when I was there.
  7. Tony's has been on Traitte's delivery for a few weeks. I've ordered once. The ribs were wonderful. Falling off the bone and lots of sauce. Azteca soup was carefully prepared with fresh, slivered tortillas in a separate container. YMMV. Consistency is a huge problem around here. I've had inedible wings and lousy ribs from Smoke House, for instance. It's listed under El Original Tony's. Good luck, brave adventurers!
  8. I found this notice on the stations dropped for us this week. You can click through the popup. https://www.shawdirect.ca/english/bulletins
  9. 6.6 in Colima. Per early report. That's major for that area.
  10. They are okay. You can close the lid down so only a few of the led bulbs are showing. And get them out of direct line of sight. I find they produce a lot of glare if they are close by. If you could get it over your shoulder it might be better. I don't like that white led light for reading, but I use it for everything in an outage. I didn't really answer your question. It produces a steady, non flickering white light that you could use for reading. A warmer yellowish color might be optimum, easier on the eyes. - But these would be a vast improvement to staring at a book in a black room.
  11. I know. I just bought some more. The 8 pack is $6 USD a piece (plus shipping) and they come with 6 batteries. I don't know how they do it. I've never had to replace batteries. I use one as a night light by my bed and so far so good.
  12. These are cheap and great. The batteries are not fancy lantern ones that are difficult to replace. The light is bright, white and annoying. Fine for the purpose. I have a platoon of the little things around the house. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018L2WM86/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  13. Also some manuf actors are worse than others for ads. Xiaomi, which I have, is infamous. They even have PR statements saying that they have ads to keep the price of their phones down. As a result, you can google the make of your phone and how to remove ads, and there are many step by step instructions that people have posted on how to reduce ads on specific models.
  14. Berenice carries it at Pet Place, down from Tia Sam's. Amazon MX has started carrying some types of it, like Senior Small and Toy.
  15. I know a guy. 😄 IB Furniture, next to OXXO, in San Antonio, close to Panini's. Used to be C&D years ago. They sell recliners there and are very helpful. I had ordered one online that they didn't carry and thought I would need help assembling it. He said he would come out and help me. Also I bought one there and he said he could repair it if needed. If you can't find that man that you might need, I'd try I&B. Ask for help. 3767664972
  16. See the last line of the announcement for required documents.

Frida's is really good. Just had her pozole and enchiladas yesterday. https://www.facebook.com/Tacos-Frida-1739504829711373/ She's on Essnap delivery service also, so eazy peazy.
  18. Thank you so much for taking the time to spell this out. It still sounds too much for me at the present. I know other people have thanked you for spearheading getting all this good information for us - I add my voice to theirs!
  19. Was there seating and shade in Ajijic or was that only in Chapala? I guess I need to know if there is any relief from standing for hours at Ajijic.
  20. Thank you, Carnivore. Exactly what I need to know. If there are others in my boat or similar, I just want to validate that this super spreader event thrown by the government, may not be for all of us. I'm recovering from a debilitating illness and am still in recovery. My best endurance event walking right now is about 10 minutes. I will be eagerly watching the experience of others, but there is no way this type of staging will work. There will be other times, places, and presentations that I can manage. Good luck and stay safe for those of you who go for it!
  21. Not working from South SAT.
  22. I was also able to get in at 8 am this morning.
  23. Mine is too. For about an hour or two in the afternoon particularly. It must be that time of year when the signal gets wonky.
  24. Amazon US has them available through third party sellers. https://www.amazon.com/Shaw-Direct-IRC600-Remote-Control/dp/B00RC6ONOO/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=shaw+remote&qid=1601512546&sr=8-1
