Thank you all but finding what I want is near impossible since Clovid I gather. My timing is off. I finally get a house done and can have a dog, KNOW what I want. Yes, I have tried the locals. I will know him or her when I see them. I know this sound impossible but: I am interested in a male dog already house broken/trained who is at least a year old. PREFER MALE but would consider FEMALE 1- Under 10 pounds! 2- Hopefully already house trained but 3- no shedding/low maintenance 4- little barking 5- loving (Love will be returned 10 times more!) I am looking into mixed breeds of Shih Tzu, Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Havanese, Maltese. I am looking for a CUTE dog, but beauty of course, is in the eyes of the beholder. I am older and have been diagnosed with PTSD, so this would be an emotional support dog as well. His or her job is to love me. I LOTS to return. I CAN BE FLEXIBLE (except for the size, shedding & pug nose.) Thanks PS- I have been through a lot so I take this seriously!

Someone on the Malecon told me about at man named Alvaro who has small rescue dogs in some town near but outside of Lakeside, Ajijic. (don't have a car so...) I cannot find anything about him on the Web. Yes I have contacted Lucky Dog. I know what I want or will when I see him or her since this is a big commitment for me.: under 10 pounds, no flat pug nose (may fly) non shed - a Yorkie would be great Any age. I do need my heartstrings pulled. Thank you.

OregontoChapala and others. MANY TIMES people here THINK a handyman can fix things. NOT SO NOR WILL THEY ADMIT IT! Many business men in similar fields don't know anything about the other such as I had a Water Pressure system put in and then later a Water Filtering system WHICH THE 2 DIFFERENT PLUMBERS DID NOT KNOW (nor did I) that the Filtering system could have been jammed despite being very new. (it was and only less than 2 weeks old!) So they (new plumbers, 2 different at different times) screwed with my on-demand which now the filter guy cleaned the filters and now I have lots of pressure, lots of water but no hot water (on demand. Both different guys and both tinkered with the on demand not knowing about the filtration system. Hey- I expect people to know about possible problems not leaving me in a mess. Many business answer and say they will get back to you. BEYOND stressed. Have a guy coming in tomorrow who specialized in on demand. If you get one AND get a pressure system and a filtration system I suggest you do research. I HADN'T A CLUE THIS WAS SO CONFUSING to me as WELL AS PROFESSIONAL PLUMBERS NOT KNOWING THESE 3 COMPONENTS OF GOOD WATER HERE. Sorry about the writing spelling and more. Too tired and no help. Hope the guy shows & knows his stuff tomorrow!

I have gone through hell and back with plumbing in my casita. Finally figured out the poor pressure in my faucets was due to new filtering system...allis oK BUT NOW I NEED A PLUMBER who really knows an on demand hot water heater and I can get calente water. Obviously I am waiting for the last one (5 plumbers in one month? PLEASE!) to call but. meanwhile, give me the name of your trustworthy on demand plumber so some day I can have a bath and hot water. thank you!

Those of us who LIVE here full time are spending time doing clean & fix up. I ordered a custom made end table from "MUEBLERIA Los Sauces" Riberas. I handed them a computer print out of what I wanted. I basically got exactly what I wanted, TOP QUALITY like furniture. They stained it flat, I wanted glossy but Gee Whiz- otherwise perfecto! Very Happy. I went there to drop off info and order. Does anyone know WHAT OR WHERE IS THE LOUD BASE MUSIC coming from???? IN Ajijic? It has been playing almost 2 hours now and it is too hot to close the windows. I am a block and a half above the Ajijic Hospital and to hot and tired to find out where it comes from. I get it if it is an Eventos but where, why so loud ( I have been here 10 years and yes, I do know LOUD and this is LOUD!) Just curious. If it's in the village I would run..............!

Where in Ajijic or nearby can a get a simple lamp rewired? It worked 20 minutes ago but I checked everything! It probably would take a pro 15 min. Thanks

Ok- I do not think a romp through a month or 3 of Duolingo is going to help me with my paying my Telmex & other bills on line. REMEMBER many people here rent, so they don't have to worry about paying these utility bills. How long will Telmex be closed? The Telmex workers are actually in the office every day, just not dealing with people. There is a pandemic and it may get worse here. They will open when they want to. They just better keep the kiosk open with ink & paper for a printed receipt. I believe I will photo the screen if there is no paper and they accept the cash. That machine is not easy as well. Trying to get ANY HELP HERE paying bills utility bills without a Mexican bank account is like pulling teeth, but I will keep trying. For the "techies" who think everyone knows to left click on Google Chrome for a translation....sorry honey, I know a lot of things but that is not one of them. I tried it and it fell to hell. I need I bilingual computer person to help me.

I am now in tears again. When I go to their website ( or one of the many and do get an English page it is sooooo confusing and if I click anywhere it goes right back to a Spanish page! When I call Telmex USA (now has a new name) 1-800-365-8808 press 2 for English, it says something in Spanish that sounds like "no longer in existence" and hangs up! The local number in Ajijic Telmex, all in Spanish but i pushed a button and politely asked a real person for English "por favor" They said they would transfer me to support - then they hung up! I have been at CFE trying to figure that mess out. Seriously, is there not someone who can definitely help me with this? American with no Mexican bank (do not want one - lost money but another story) Have Telmex & CFE in my name for over a 2 years now. Live near Telmex and never ever got a bill in 2 years. Got one CFE bill in 2 years. Tired of paying ahead to find out the kiosk is broken.

WHAT page ( send me a link- there are so many!!!!) to Telmex and also HOW WOULD I KNOW "When you have the page open then right click on the screen you will see a small menu choose Translate to English" REALLY - HOW WOULD I KNOW THAT????? Exhausted!!!!!

I have tried every website listed above for Telmex ( have Google Chrome) and NONE have a place to see it in English. I have tried every phone number and got no where! What is the link that is supposed to be able to be changed to English with Google Chrome? I supposed I phoned too early but I keep trying. I have been trying to get a BILL or register for TELMEX online for months! Any help appreciated!

OregontoChapala - Thanks for your information. I MUST POINT OUT that recommending us to learn Spanish (If you spend 30-minutes a day on Duolingo) is NOT helpful. Many of us have health, personal, family, computer & other issues. I would love to learn Spanish right this second but IT STILL WILL TAKE YEARS TO READ A BILL IF WE EVEN GOT A BILL! Not everyone has it easy and can curl up with Duolingo everyday, especially when they are trying to get settled in FOR THE 5TH TIME and the neighbors dogs are driving me crazy! I did try the phone number 1-800-365-8808, press 2 for English, early this morning. It rang forever. NO LUCK! I have Google Chrome so will now try that. I hope I can FIND where to translate the page. Do you realize people like me would pay you to set this up? You could give it to charity!

ARE YOU POSITIVE you can use a US credit card to pay Telmex? I have gone through hell with both CFE and Telmex. I never get my bills even though I own. Long story. A week ago I went to Telmex to have them send me a bill and they threw me out (they were closed as the poster said) saying from now on do it on line (I do not speak Spanish) and that day and often the outside pay kiosk is often without paper for a receipt. I cannot read the Spanish page. FUN!

PLEASE PEOPLE when responding to an IMPORTANT post like this I find NO reason to post a humorous response. It is rude & insensitive. NOW, for those who are curious (we all are, face facts) of those who locally got CV, perhaps we can keep stress at a minimum by obviously wearing a mask, hand washing and the rest of what experts say. On top of that: EACH OF US should keep a calendar diary of where we were out shopping, what day and for how long/the time. This would be a good way to trace the virus if we or others get it! Stay well, and keep 6 ft away from me!

My SPELER DVD player worked fine and then today the door will not open..NO no disc in there....I tried everything. Does anyone know anyone OPEN who fixes them? Thanks

I went to the Ajijic Hospital this morning and a woman entered without a mask. I said to her (through my mask) "Where is your mask?" and she moved right in my face and said "Huh?" & THEN put one on & went on her merry way. THEN I went to Multiva across the street and a woman got right next to me (had a mask but....) and I said "PLEASE stay your distance" and a man NOT wearing a mask across the way asked me "What is your problem?" and then left. I don't have a problem. I think it is rude to not follow rules made to help ALL of us.

OK I got my answer on the DOLLAR STORE ........HOWEVER both gals, in the stores, were NOT WEARING MASKS & (all this, in an after thought) like WHAT? And now that I am at it, why are people not wearing masks?
