Just an update: The one who advertises in the OJO came over last night to see the work to be done and said he would be here at 9 AM. It is now 10.31 AM!

I have tried to write this post 3 times -my computer is not great! I have two small jobs requiring plaster/paint and Kitchen cabinet woodwork/hinge I have had the guy who advertises in the OJO in- he saw it and then never kept the date nor answers my phone calls, I have done a search on this site for handymen and after a warm conversation with him HE never kept the date. There are so many others. I guess they feel they will not get rich from me. Small jobs can lead to BIG jobs. I am respectful & pay well! HELP!

I know this is quite early to plan but last year was SO horrible as were most peoples. My Pandemic Pup (Yorkie) read that the Sheraton Buganvilias in PV accept dogs. I believe he now weighs 12 pounds. I cannot fly with him as he is over 10 pounds. ETN and the other bus line to PV will not let you carry them on and so he would go underneath....no way! I obviously do not have a car SO taxi is the answer if we book. I was quoted 6,000 Pesos one way by Taxi and was wondering if anyone is willing to share the cost if they would be going that way American Thanksgiving or wanting to share this adventure with their pup. My tentative dates are Nov. 22-26. I want fun and I want to have it with him!

DID ANYONE who was getting their first injection on Thursday Ajijic Malacoln get a certificate. I didn't! Nor did a married couple I know there that day. I only have word of mouth to prove I got my first injection!

THANK YOU "UPFRONT" WHERE DID I SAY WE WERE GOING TO EAT "in" a RESTAURANT? I, too, dislike animals in restaurants, especially birds,, cats and giant dogs, or multiple tiny pups! Did you ever think I was planning on takeout? What difference is it to anyone what I call myself or my puppy? This website has become SO snarkey. I was just tying to connect with someone in a similar situation and I get verbally abused for that! Thank you, the few who understand!

I just wrote a lengthy thank you but it got erased. I am pooped.........no pun intended. YORKIES are known to have their own lengthy potty training situations. I OBVIOUSLY know and have done everything you mentioned but EACH home is different as is each PUP. My little superman puts down his business faster than superman. I am NOT a "WE" so chasing him is exhausting but I worth it. The doggy door gets installed tomorrow. My reason for posting is I have met Yorkie owners here in the past but do not have their contact info.

Any YORKIE mommies to share help/ADVICE? I am the proud 1st time mother of a 2 1/2 month old male Yorkie. Any advice on toilet training would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. I live in Ajijic above the Ajijic Hospital Clinic. I have purchased 2 books from Amazon & their advice seems useless. I live in central Ajijic and need a good ophthalmologist who can also set me up with glasses, preferably not someone difficult to get an appointment with. I DO NOT have a car but will cab it if I have to. I just learned mine Dr. passed away. I appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance!

MY GOODNESS there are a lot of opinionated people here who put in their 2 cents in but never ask why my puppy/dog needs are so strict. Do you want a letter from my therapist or my orthopedic surgeon about these specific special needs? My only family, one child is a 3 hour flight and I MORE THAN qualify for an emotional needs dog but many airlines are easier to work with IF the animal can easily fit under the seat ( and I want it comfortable) and many airlines do. indeed weigh them. I hope to see my child with my pup before I die. Small request I am sure you all never thought of.

Sorry but she is too close to 10 pounds and also seems not a pure Yorkie in the sense a bit too large. A cutie but no thanks. Size/weight is important!

Wow- with the situation around town you would think I could find a handy man but NO- EVEN THOSE ADVERTISING IN OJIO! do not answer my calls. I live in central Ajijic and had a bad leak. THAT is now repaired but mold is building up, areas have celetre (spell?) and things need to get fixed, treated and painted. If you see it and are a pro, fix it and I will pay! Does anyone know of a GOOD RELIABLE HANDY MAN that can come in, assess the situation and do the work? I do not have a handy man! Thanks!

Thank you all, especially Xena, for the good information. I DID indeed offer $$ for medical but was brushed away. Thank you ALL for the spelling lesson. You can always get such friendly advice here! Keep in mind It is difficult to get things correct when you head is being assaulted by constant screams. Again, thank you Xena for good practical input.

STILL SCREAMING!!!!!!!

Obviously I prefer not to be named but the "gatekeeper" in our Pravada is well in her 90s and she is constantly babysitting for one of the many family infants. (how was I to know! It's like living in a day care since Clovid.) I came home at 1PM today and the baby has been screaming on and off for hours at a time. I tried to ask (broken Spanish- how the hell can you study with all their noise?) if they needed anything, dinero for medicine since they said the baby was enfermos but they jabbered and indicated for me to go away. Two other neighbors came by for other reasons but they are not on TOP of the sound. They made no big deal that the kid is: 1) SICK (gee it could be Clovid!) ) in pain for hours! Most importantly NONE of these gatekeeper people use masks, social distancing and so forth. My head is bursting from the screaming but the poor thing needs help. Is there a number I can call to report this? It stopped right now (for how long?) and do I know the parents? NO, this carnival has gotten out of hand. The people who live further back don't hear it an don't care. Thank you!

WANTED – DOG OR PUPPY! I am a solo active woman living in Ajijic. I am interested in a male dog prefer already house broken/BUT PUPPY WILL DO, BUT CANNOT GET BIGGER THAn 10 POUNDS. PREFER MALE but would consider FEMALE 1- Under 10 pounds! 2- Hopefully already house trained but …… 3- no shedding/low maintenance 4- little barking 5- loving (Love will be returned 10 times more!) I am looking into YORKIES (BEST)but mixed breeds of Shih Tzu, Chihuahua, Yorkshire Terrier, Havanese, Maltese will do. I am looking for a CUTE dog, but beauty of course, is in the eyes of the beholder. I am older and have been diagnosed with PTSD, so this would be an emotional support dog as well. His or her job is to love me. I have SO much to return. I CAN BE FLEXIBLE except for the size, shedding & pug nose. IF YOU CAN PUT ME WITH A BREEDER, OK- I WILL GO THAT ROUTE!!!!!!IT IS LONELY WITHOUT A FUR FRIEND!- mate.. I live in house I own on a privada in Ajijic with a walled in grass play area- plenty of room for a small dog in a small yard. I can also have a doggy door made. I cannot have a dog with a pug nose as I may fly with it (my daughter in airline industry). In the past have been here in rentals not allowing dogs, & now I have my own place. Now is the time.I DO NOT HAVE A CAR. I would have a friend or driver take me to you if you want to introduce me to any dogs.

Ditto to the statistics. I work out there and there are Gringos as well who do not wear masks!
