  1. The most that I have paid to see a specialist is 1,300 Pesos. I have seen two at Ribera Medical Center located on the Libramiento, a Nephrologist and, a Cardiovascular, both were bilingual.
  2. When the police start using radar guns - then worry. At least three years ago, I saw several police officers training with radar guns opposite Plaza Interlago on the Libramiento. It is just a matter of time before it becomes the norm.
  3. You may have some success online but locally, you just never know. Sometimes you can find the prescribed dosage but you cannot count on it being available the next time you need a refill. A case of feast or famine.
  4. It is not always possible to find medications with the exact dosage as prescribed by your Dr. I am in the same position as yourself and have to cut pills or double up to get the correct dosage. Try various outlets for Farmacia Guadalajara and Maskaris in Riberas. Good luck.
  5. You can put forward any excuse you want regarding the causes of inflation, be it higher fuel costs, the war in the Ukraine, Putin or Covid. They give politicians, regardless of party, the perfect cover, especially with the mid-term elections on the horizon. Sadly, leadership is thin on the ground, and we may see Global Warming but not in the way those who believe in it will expect. Instead, we will all glow green. As for the cost of rental properties in Lakeside, they were on the increase way before the war in the Ukraine.
  6. I have a current Extra Class Ham License. From what I have learned, if you have a U.S. license then you can set up a station here but it requires the necessary paperwork from what I assume to be the Mexican equivalent of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). You do not have to belong to an Amateur Radio Club. Do not take this as gospel but I believe there is an office in Zapopan. I am not sure it is worth the effort. Good luck.
  7. Costco sells a few brands of Single Malt Scotch. One being Glenfiddich, priced between 800 - 900 Pesos. They also sell some reasonably priced blended Scotch. Far cheaper than what you would pay locally.
  8. I can recommend the Linksys MX4200 Velop Mesh Wifi. Stated range is 8,100 feet. Have a look at the Linksys products on the following link: https://www.google.com/search?q=linksys+wifi+extender+mx4200&oq=&aqs=chrome.3.69i59i450l8.1064964j0j15&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
  9. For the past year we have used the Linksys Velop AX4200 Wifi 6 Mesh System, Model: MX4200. Range: 8,100 feet. The purchase was made at a BestBuy in the States and at that time the model was being sold as 3 units per pack. Now on offer as a single pack. In my opinion, an excellent product. Not cheap but if you want excellent coverage well worth it. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?st=Linksys+MX4200+wifi+system&_dyncharset=UTF-8&_dynSessConf=&id=pcat17071&type=page&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=&sp=&qp=&list=n&af=true&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960&keys=keys
  10. I have just checked my manual for the Briggs & Stratton Generator. The manual states the model is the 310000 but on further scrutiny it would appear that I own model 040301 Rev 00. Please see the following link: https://www.partswarehouse.com/040301-0-Briggs-and-Stratton-Emergency-Backup-Power-System-s/247742.htm
  11. We have a Briggs & Stratton propane generator, model 310000. This was installed in November 2012 and money well spent. Like a solar system, it has paid for itself over time. When the grid goes down the generator will kick in within a matter of seconds. It provides power to the entire house and shuts down around 30 seconds after power from the grid returns. All electrical appliances such as televisons, freezer, fridge freezer and computers run as normal. The generator is serviced twice a year and we use a qualified Briggs & Stratton mechanic, based in Guadalajara. His name is Daniel Rodante, Cell: 33 1862 3086. He does not speak English but could point you in the right direction. In fact, he is due to service the unit early in January 2022. Good luck.
