  1. With the switch to EV's, that can become a new southern trend too! πŸ˜‰
  2. Yes, Harry also has the pool panels as well as solar electric! πŸ˜‰ Very happy with both, if I may say on his behalf.
  3. Feel free to PM or email me, #1 rated Techno Solis panels @ the best pricing with 1st class installation and 10 year warranty. Many happy clients / references all around the area both residential and commercial.
  4. You can use a cell phone data connection, that generally has sufficient speed to hit this level or even higher.
  5. Highly recommend the TelCel wireless modem to anyone with DSL issues who doesn't have access to fiber yet. You have to purchase the wireless modem (2500 pesos) at the TelCel main store and they can advise on setting up the account. Same price as the base Infinitum plan and much better and faster / more consistent than faulty DSL from Telmex.
  6. Most likely the "data" part is still fine but you've used up the phone and SMS balance part. You can check this by dialing: *133# and then following the prompts, first you hit "3" for "saldo" and then "2" for your package choice to check. You'll probably see you have plenty of Gb of data left. You can still top up the balance so that you can make calls and sent texts. This can be done by c/card payment on this same function, or you can ask someone at lakeside to go in to a store and put it on your account using your phone #. And...if you use WhatsApp or Skype to make calls and send messages with, those will use the data so you can continue to communicate even if your airtime and text amounts are used up.
  7. well there was that whole rotary to touch tone phone thing.....! πŸ˜‰ Or the hybrid of touch-pulse phones to be cool but save $$.....ha ha ha Plus....rabbit ears vs loop antenna vs roof antenna.......VHS vs Beta......8 track vs compact cassette and going from AM to AM/FM in the car.....and then the mind boggling intros of CD's and DVD's for the younger part of that crowd.
  8. Sounds like they've got a plan to reduce the business volume issue......😷
  9. Why is Manix still updating their FB page then? Are you sure about your info? https://www.facebook.com/pg/ManixRestaurantBar/posts/ Also:
  10. Most of the cell phone stores and even kiosks will carry them also, and generally at very good pricing. Or the tianguis.
  11. It is one of his better / more intelligent posts, IMHO,so let's give him a break. πŸ˜‰
  12. Great post by Best Side and wish you well. Here is a very interesting article about a hospital / MD developed therapy in Ocala Florida, that combines proven existing drugs to help fight the worst symptoms and effects - not the virus itself - and thus can keep people out of the ICU if started early. Still being tested but quite promising and could help fill the gap until vaccines are available: https://www.ocala.com/story/business/2020/09/22/ocala-developed-covid-19-therapy-local-study/5865410002/ Best thing of course is to stay safe, distanced, masked, and patient, so as not to have to find out if this works for you.
  13. Also you can ask / check at Mi Mexico, if they don't have them they probably know who does. https://www.mi-mexico.com/about
  14. An ECM can lose the recent memory it has, when the battery power is disconnected. BUT it will quickly "re-learn" the settings once power is re-connected and the vehicle is operated for awhile. Changing a battery or alternator correctly, will not damage or burn it out.
  15. Go out and literally stop one of the Telmex pickup service trucks in town. See if the crew can help, or if they have a good private contractor to connect you with.
  16. And will probably need to slow down a bit as well....! πŸ˜‰
  17. There is also an auto electrical shop on Pepe Guizar a bit south of the Chapala Goodyear shop, and Ron Young on the west side of the carraterra just north of Soriana is also very good with auto electrical. Easy for any of them to test the charging voltage, to know if it is more likely the alternator, or if you just need a new battery.
  18. Yes, as I said, from the ground around it. That means below and sides for a tub built into the ground.
  19. As mudgirl mentions, anything to be heated and built of masonry should be insulated / isolated from the ground around it. As for heating, whether it will be kept filled, filtered, and circulated, or used as a batch and dump each time, can help to determine how you heat it. Either way can be done with solar thermal systems to have great hot water very cost effectively and with no ongoing fuel needs and no pollution.
