  1. I want to replace my dog's collar with a harness to relieve the  stress on his neck when out walking, if he pulls.

Any place to buy one locally? I live in Mirasol, Riberas.

For me, easy parking and short walk to store is essential. I have difficulty walking.

Sonny is about 22 pounds, a well-behaved Mexican street dog who is friendly and is walked by Richie with a bunch of othr dogs.

I tried... Their website "English" button does not work, like on most of the MX gov't websites... So if they cannot have a working website, I am to trust their weather forecasts? Nah. Like anyplace, look out the window, trust yer bunion or joints and look at a radar image of the area.

OldWeb--You seem to be annoying some people, whether or not you're commenting about weather. Does this happen wherever you go?

  3. Ferret--Thank you.

It was just a few days ago that I went into intercam, the one closest to Ajjic (alongside Casa Nostras furniture store ). Now, I just can't figure out why she said what she said. But she went to double check with someone and said No direct deposit.

  4. Ibarra--This the second time you questioned my Dec. 12 post. Please, reread my answer to you.

In this currect post I am asking specifically now about direct deposits of one's Social Security check.

I am interested now in direct deposits. Not all local area banks accept them. Thus my question here. . . . .instead of calling every bank in Lakeside.

That's what makes this forum so useful: Quick answers from informed people.

  5. I'd appreciate names of area banks that you know accept direct deposits of monthly Social Security income.

I spoke with Intercam in Ajijic and liked it there, but they don't take SSA direct deposits.

Last month I had my direct deposit made to an Actinver account I already had but hadn't used much in recent years. It's terrible. It's no longer the efficient and friendly place I remember. I want to move as soon as I find the right bank for my direct deposit. I live in Riberas, what used to be Mirasol.

    Thanks, Lexy

  6. This is a great story. I wish I could go to Emma's but parking looks impossible.

I love bagels and in New York City long ago we went to a baker who sold them by tradition 13 to the "dozen."

  7. We are exchanging emails without any delay. I just now see that I'm allowed to get the form scanned to them. Otherwise it has to be put in "regular" mail from post office.

So I'll get over to iShop and have it all scanned to them.  Do I have to have a scan number or something to give to iShop for the consulate?

  8. Ibarra--I responded immediatly. That's how I know they suspended my benefits beginning immediately with February.  We're exchanging emails.

But they are insisting on the form being returned filled in. That what I'm doing. But of course I did not, obviously not in an eemail, get the return envelope to use.

I better finish filling out this form.

  9. This morning I requested a routine form from the Social Security Admin by email. I got back an immediat response saying my benefits have been suspended because fro two years I failed to respond to a request for information. I'm assuming it's the yearly check up on my current address. I always respond to these.

They included in this email  a form to fill out and return within 60 says. Of course I will do it immediately. Meanwhile my benefits have been suspended starting with my February 2024 check.

I'm in shock.. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this?

  10. LarryA--I got confused reading your first sentense in your first post that said "at an of" . . .and wondered why you were looking for a local sous chef in particular.

Then later in a another post you asked if there was a restaurant known for its excellant soups. So then I wondered were you talking about a sous chef or looking for a chef who made good soups.  I thought maybe sous was a typo.

Anyhow, yes, I am quite familiar with the term sous chef and I know what a sous chef does in a professional kitchen.

Just fyi there's a professional chef in my family: One of the first females to graduate from the CIA--Culinary Institute of America.

BTW: To me, your posts are usually very clear and well written. So I gave that post a "confused" emoji because--well, I was confused. I hope my response to you clears up all and any misunderstanding. OK?
