I'm about to decide on opening an account with either Actinver or HSBC to recieve my monhly SS deposit. Any person preferences on which to choose? It must have easy access to parking, because of my difficulty in walking to and fro.

Actinver  has worked out for our SS deposits for many years.  The parking lot in front usually has space unless you go at a busy time of day.

I signed a contact with San Javier Funeral Home  - very easy and at the time the best price - plus if you decide to leave the area the plan is transferrable
    contact is Ramiro  333 555 2084   33 2272 3549    earlier this year was 13400 p

My hearing loss makes telephone contact unworkable.  Do  you have an email address?

Just a little bit past the Tuesday market and cemetery on the mountain side. Pedros used to sell hamburgers there is you remember them. Some 4 or 5 low steps to get in on the veggie side, but also a ramp (a tad too steep for those who need one, IMHO). The Costco side is easier to access.

My husband just reminded me of why we don't go there.  Difficult access for those with locomotion problems.  The one on the East side would be better.

gringal--can you tell us some of what's on the menu?

I had a huge turkey and melted cheese sandwich on a dark rye bread; spouse had fajitas.  Price for both around $300. Couldn't find a menu for this location on the web but the menu for the other location is on Google.

  5. Spouse and I had lunch there today.  Reasonable prices, generous portions, pleasant environment and service.  I had a turkey and cheese sandwich and had to take half home. Very good food. Four stars!!

I look forward to Gringal's restaurant review.  🙂

Thought I'd wait a week to let it shake down and then try it for lunch.  Review coming!

The comments about "losing charm" leave me laughing.  🙃

  7. When my spouse and I went to a Chapala attorney after 5 years to obtain Mexican citizenship, we went through all the hoops to accomplish it, but he never mentioned that we needed to speak Spanish at the final step.  Due to a number of factors beyond our control, we were not adept enough and our expense and time were in vain.  Be aware of this.

  8. The other seafood isn't exciting like the salmon.  And  yes, there aren't many people dining there, though the food is much better than most places, and the prices are reasonable.  Why? Dunno.🙃

I agree that's quite a markup but keep in mind that WalMart has their own products made to their specifications and that quality control is very low on the list. I figure I pay a bit more even though the increased bug parts per million from WalMart probably do add a little protein.

We went to Pancho's in Riberas a year or so ago and ordered salmon and salad. It wasn't inexpensive. Got a decent but not generous portion of fish and a few lettuce leaves with a couple of cherry tomatoes. No rice, no bread. Haven't gone back.

You want a very good salmon dinner for way under 300 pesos?  Comes with choice of baked potato or mashed, veggies and toasted small bread basket.  El Ancla, in the mini mall west of the new Pancho's.
